The Gospel of Mark Chapter 16 V- 15 and 18

15 He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. 18 They will pick up serpents [with their hands], and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

In Mark 16:15-18, we encounter the powerful commission of Jesus to His disciples, urging them to go forth and spread the Gospel to all creation. This passage encapsulates the essence of faith and obedience, highlighting how believers are called to actively engage in the mission of Christ. Jesus emphasizes the importance of belief, stating that those who believe will be marked by signs—casting out demons, speaking in new tongues, healing the sick, and even handling snakes without harm.

However, we must not overlook the context of these verses. Prior to this commission, Jesus rebukes His disciples for their unbelief and hardness of heart (Mark 16:14). This moment serves as a poignant reminder that even the closest followers of Christ struggled with doubt. In our own lives, we too may wrestle with unbelief, questioning the power of God’s Word and the reality of His promises. Yet, Jesus meets our doubts with grace, calling us to a deeper faith.

To live out the Gospel means embracing the call to believe wholeheartedly in His promises and to act upon them. It requires us to step beyond our comfort zones, to trust in His divine guidance, and to embody the teachings of Christ in our daily lives. As we do so, we not only affirm our faith but also invite the transformative power of the Holy Spirit to work through us.

In moments of uncertainty, remember that Jesus lovingly challenges our unbelief. He invites us to have faith in His Word and to witness the signs that accompany a life lived in obedience to the Gospel. Let us respond to His call with courage and conviction, knowing that as we take steps of faith, He will empower us to fulfill His mission. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

01-25-2025 Mark 16 v1518

**These Signs Will Accompany Those Who Believe**

In the dawn’s embrace, His voice resounds,

“Go forth, my children, where hope abounds.

To every nation, let My love be known,

With signs that follow, My grace be shown.”

In faith, we rise, though doubts may arise,

He rebukes our fears, opens our eyes.

With tongues of fire, our spirits ignite,

To heal the broken, to shine His light.

So let us carry this sacred call,

With hearts unwavering, we’ll not fear to fall.

For in His promise, our strength is found,

In every step, His glory surrounds.  Amen.
