The
Gospel of John Chapter Three One thru Four
1 Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of
the Jews. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said to him,
“Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do
these signs that you are doing unless God is with him.”3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How
can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his
mother’s womb and be born again, can he?”
I talk often of the eye witness of Christ. You know what I
mean, the men and women who wrote about living the experience of grace in every
aspect of life because He Who died for you and me rose after death seen by our
own kin. Yes, the very human eyes we are most likely related to in some
mysterious way was the way of Christ understanding that you had to be born
again by the spirit that dwells in each and everyone of us as the duty of
living redeemed. Nicodemus didn’t understand this fact but felt something more
important than feelings of flesh burning his ancestry souls to the point of
death.
This Jews ruler knew that God was with him and Jesus
explained what it means to experience love, hope and faith of enjoying sharing
the gospel with people like you and me witnessed with their very own eyes. I can’t
say enough about that experience of truth. We witness it when we, among those
who are aching in someway to know what God means in their life becomes a
first-hand receiver of everything God First by your practice, prayer and
proclamation of Christ risen.
Today I met such a young man. Raised in South Carolina
driving a truck for a living experiencing life yet missing the call of having
Jesus in his heart. Obviously, that doesn’t mean that someone like me can’t
come along and share Gods love of all souls allowing the opportunity to confess
Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
I talked about it His love that I could tell this young man
lived and experienced. His hair was dreaded and long much like me but mine is
not dreaded. He smiled with teeth that glistened with a care for humanity. When
he told me what he did for a living, my God bumps began to appear
simultaneously as I shared them across my tattoo of placing God first across my
arm in Christ Jesus extending the presence of God to Him by my arm’s skin raising
by His Spirit. I asked him, “Do you have Jesus in your heart?” His reply is why
I was drawn to this tire shop without knowledge, “No not really.” I reminded
him that the one on one conversation that we were experiencing was garnered for
those living when Jesus appeared according to the will of God. That means
people like you and me touched Jesus witnessing a miracle of life after death. Saying,
“This my friend is why we live for God First seeking the lost sharing everlasting
life eye witnessed. Peace be with you,” I finished as I fist bumped him in a
social distance grace. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord.
