Gospel of Mark Ch 15 v- 16 thru 20

16 The soldiers led him away inside the palace, that is, the praetorium, and assembled the whole cohort. 17 They clothed him in purple and, weaving a crown of thorns, placed it on him. 18 They began to salute him with, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 19 and kept striking his head with a reed and spitting upon him. They knelt before him in homage. 20 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak, dressed him in his own clothes, and led him out to crucify him.

If you’ve ever been accused of doing something that you didn’t do but took the punishment for the crew then you may have some inclination of what Jesus was going through. He was accused and mocked remaining silent to the very end. He accepted every blow even the nails that pieced His skin. When in the control of others because of sin, you can’t begin to understand how to act without jumping back into it again. To protect yourself seems ludicrous that you’d pay so death would have to begin but that’s what happens often in a society filled with sin. They want to kill the truth making God be the blame of how to react seems totally insane. But God reminds us we will be persecuted we will suffer for His Name at some point whether by others or even your own blood even when the truth is evident and the bystanders remain obtuse we must follow the way of Jesus even if death becomes our call to rest in Him eternal life that’s all no more running no more hiding allowing Jesus to make His stand in you. Amen.

11-20-2022 Mark’s Gospel Ch 15 v-1620

**Him led to the Cross**

Palace inside away soldiers Him led

Cohort whole assembled in the praetorium pray tell

Purple He was clothed thorns crown woven upon His head

Him they would salute Jews King hail spitting head striking hell

Him mocked kneeling giving Him homage without rest

Cloak purple stripped clothes own He was dressed

Him led to the Cross where He’d undergo the test

Him Crucify leaving His body a mess before absolute death
