Wigs Word of God Today
Universal Utterings for 12-14-2013
Teach us to count our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart. May the favor of the LORD our God be ours. Prosper the work of our hands! Prosper the work of our hands! Psalm 90:12,17
Sirach 48:1-11, Psalm 90 & Matthew 17:10-13
The Psalmist calls out to God to help guide his days “aright” asking he be granted “wisdom of heart.” The kind of wisdom one might regard as “street smarts” seeking not favor with God but fortitude to forever find His Future of faith, hope and love of Christ’s Charity. Our society seems to have forgone fortitude for fancy asking constantly for recognition replacing responsibility with request. “Give me this and give me now” mentality has drawn every child who is given the opportunity to play with electronics to destroy his or her desire to be focused on learning unless it has some sort of bell or whistle glaring from a screen of adventure.
Yes, someone’s imagination created these distractions forcing parents to make the choices of use by example but can we find fortitude to utilize technology to overcome excessive stimulation? I believe a part of this evangelization is how we conduct ourselves in public with the known and unknown. We should be reaching out to hug and pray with strangers as evidenced in my meeting and greeting a middle-aged woman as I strolled through a grocery store. She was wearing a Jesus t-shirt and I stopped and asked if she’d pray for each of our intentions together. She was so graceful obliging extending her hands to take mine. “Dear Father God, prosper the work of our hands joined in Truth sharing goodwill. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.” Short and tender living His Will. Pray with a stranger and experience God’s grace. Amen.
We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray for wisdom of heart. Novena prayers day four for Brian to find work. Novena prayers day nine for Greg Bishop’s miraculous healing in Jesus Name. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. LORD from Psalm 90:, I chant, “Fill us at daybreak with Your mercy, that all our days we may sing for joy.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
I am surrendered in Christ,

Ephesians 6:17-20
Hands of our work prosper at last-Psalm 90
Psalm ninety speaks of Moses
God made him holy by choice
Nothing he left forgoes
Generation all to Eternity’s voice
Dust remains in humanity’s pain
Time is nothing God does not fight
Washes each of us away to forever stain
Sprout by morning blooms dead by night
Anger Yours to consume Father
Faults facing each other
Wrath ebbs a sigh as to bother
Seventy or eighty sorrow’s smother
Comprehended by inspired fear
Heart of wisdom we gain so dear
Pity we ask Your servants clear
Mercy at daybreak singing Your cheer
Humble us LORD the Psalmist asks
Glory for our children as we pass
Favor of You we patiently grasp
Hands of our work prosper at last
