Honor your father and your mother so that you may live long in the land that Yahweh your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12

God’s folly is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength. 1 Corinthians 1:25

Exodus 20:1-17, Psalm 19, 1 Corinthians 1:22-25 & John 2:13-25

Today in Genesis we are presented with the traditional formation of the moral code humanity was given by God to guide us and protect us from living a life of sin. While the commandments are later listed as “ten words” written on a tablet (see Exodus 32:15–16; 34:28–29; Deuteronomy 4:13; 10:2–4), they are first described here in several different versus’ representing a restricted expression of God’s ethical demands on Israel and is here set apart from the others as a direct, unmediated communication of God to the Israelites and the basis of the covenant being concluded on Sinai. They are simple and direct allowing each of us the opportunity to live in peace with each other. They include the general principals of right and wrong guiding us from birth to old age.

They are the Truth in living for all to understand and should be taught to all children from the day they are born. They come from the Source of ALL human wisdom and are guided by the strength of Omnipotence, which even in His slightest weakness is greater than any human strength. God guides us by True Wisdom and Power to be found anywhere one would least expect them, even in the place of their apparent disappearance. While to the human eye the crucified Christ symbolizes weakness and ridiculousness, God’s Plan for humanity in forgiving them their sins plays out on the Cross at Calvary as God’s exemplified experience. What seems wrong is the Right we surrender our lives to. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to live for your commands to find the Truth our lives are led by. We pray for safe travels from Orlando today. We pray this in the Name above all other Names Jesus Christ. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,
