Universal Utterings for 3-29-2014

In the cause of Truth, meekness, and justice may Your Right Hand show Your Wondrous Deeds. Psalm 45:5

For it is loyalty that I desire, not sacrifice, and knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6

But the tax collector stood off at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven but beat his breast and prayed, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.’ Luke 18:13

Hosea 6:1-6, Psalm 45 & Luke 18:9-14

We listen to the king sing a love song today to the princess of Tyre whom he will marry asking she forget about her past and become the queen of his palace taking on the role she would one day leave to return to her home carrying the Ark of the Covenant. I know, many of these words over the years have become lost to history with one theory or another rising to be forgotten once again but I see we must realize what is certain is the psalm contained the impression he would set upon the princess to create the Truth of love by God’s wondrous deeds He has shown David in his rule as king of Israel.

While the implication of being king allows for he to be called god in his psalm, this points to the representation he is given for the people he rules and the ultimate pointing of all psalms as prophesies of the Anointed One, Jesus. We are asked today to listen to the Cause of Truth acknowledging meekness and justice as the Right Hand of God to guide and support allowing His grace to instill loyalty and knowledge sharing Salvation. When we fall in love with God’s Plan for our lives, we see His Will in the practice, prayer and proclamation we live to know faith, hope and love of charity. Amen.

We ask in prayer. Dear LORD, we pray to live for the cause of Truth. Prayers for Kairos Prison Ministry of DCI #49. Greg Bishop has our never ending prayers. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. LORD, from Psalm 45:7 I chant, “Your throne, O God, stands forever; Your royal scepter is a scepter for justice.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Acclaim is his harp

Justice he seeks

Truth arrows sharp
