Universal Utterings for 2-22-2014

Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock. First Peter 5:3

You listen, LORD, to the needs of the poor; You strengthen their heart and incline Your ear. Psalm 10:17

First Peter 5:1-4, Psalm 10 & Matthew 16:13-19

Peter gives advice of example resting not on complacency but resting in the Truth of Christ to share the Salvation of faith, hope and love of charity’s peace. “Be examples of the flock” showing the Way and learned by reading your Bible daily. We cannot be afraid of reading His love for you and for me how He died to set us free for all eternity hanging on a Cross in complete humility. To be humble as He strengthens hearts and nourishes souls living by example void of prides early death. We must attend to the needs of the poor not just the ones begging on corners with signs of shame held over their faces but the ones in our own neighborhoods and towns where being poor may come in spirits unsound encouraging charity that leads to Salvation’s Crown. Peter tells us this Crown of Glory granting Everlasting Life is waiting by the Christian example you live. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray we are examples of You LORD. Constant prayers for TD. Greg Bishop has our never-ending prayers. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. LORD from Psalm 10:1, I chant, “Why, LORD, do You stand afar and pay no heed in times of trouble?” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I am surrendered in Christ,

Forever King allows self-will to know not what is in store– Psalm 10

Are troubles ignored?

Even forgotten as bored?

Lost treasures are stored

We still ask God for more

He seems to be far away

Troubles come as we pay

God ensures life each day

Why is important to hear Him say

Worry not of the wicked who boast

I will make sure they end up like toast

They may have had the scorn to loathe

Schemes cunning their end will croak

Listen not when they God cares not

Self-will succeeds ignorance cares not

Sneering at misfortune helpless they are not

Secret ambush look concerned they are not

David screams aloud to our LORD

Please scorn them and forget not the poor

Sorrow and misery the matter You never ignore

Orphans survive while the wicked is shown hell’s door

Forever King allows self-will to know not what is in store
