Wig’s Word of God Today 6-14-2012
For I tell you, if your uprightness does not surpass that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:20
First Kings 18:41-46, Psalm 65 & Matthew 5:20-26
The Sermon on the Mount brought about different types of right and wrong as conferred on the Disciples by Christ to prepare them for ministering the New Covenant to the world. What began as the beauty of life in the Beatitudes turns to how you maintain your “flavor” if you will for the LORD’s Truth switching to the law ending with the six examples of conduct.
Today Jesus instructs us to live an “up righted” life avoiding anger with your friends, family and strangers alike as the first example of conduct. We must resolve to work out our differences or lose in court and be liable to imprisonment as well. Jesus goes as far as saying you must do this before you present yourself to Him at His Altar in the House of God. Anger becomes a losing battle with severe consequences including separating us from God nullifying our ticket to heaven so to speak. Resolution will allow you to live resolute for God. Amen.
“I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment. Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother. Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court with him. And then come and offer your gift.” Matthew 5:22abc, 23-24, 25a, 24c
In prayer, we ask, Dear LORD, we pray today to live an upright life for Your glory. We pray for resolution for a world confused by the flash of media, lust and greed. We pray for our children, our moms and dads, our family, our friends and the people we meet every day. LORD please help us in our surrender to be a people of action to live resolute for Your Truth. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

“Spirit led God inspired Christ fed“
Fetch reconciliation to eternally show- Matthew 5:20-26
His Disciples heard Him speak
Of conduct we should all learn to seek
Avoiding anger that is foolish and weak
Living for righteousness in life’s peak
You cannot enter the Kingdom to show
If anger dwells in your heart and soul
Thou shall not kill in judgments no
Anger against brother judgments to know
Calling someone Raqa is an imbecile twist
To answer to the Sanhedrin they can’t resist
Calling someone a fool is liable to fire
Seeking to ridicule can make you a liar
So now at the altar leave your gift and go
Fetch reconciliation to eternally show
How forgiveness and love is greater to know
Returning to offer the gift as wisdom learns to grow
Settle with him as quick as you ran
Before the judge hands you over to serve in a can
Round walls will be your night and day guard
Until every last penny is paid serving time that is hard
