Universal Utterings for 2-23-2015

A man whose path is hidden from him, one whom God has hemmed in! For to me sighing comes more readily than food; my groans well forth like water. For what I feared overtakes me; what I dreaded comes upon me. I have no peace nor ease; I have no rest, for trouble has come! Job 3:23-26

You shall not hate any of your kindred in your heart. Reprove your neighbor openly so that you do not incur sin because of that person. Take no revenge and cherish no grudge against your own people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:17-18

He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for Me.’ And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to Eternal Life.” Matthew 25:45-46

Job 3:21-26, Leviticus 19:1-18 & Matthew 25:31-46

When we sit in grief it’s hard not to give in completely throwing in the towel so to speak wallowing in an ache that never seems to go away. It comes for many who have cancer or a car accident but just as many with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder feel this threat constantly unable to escape the feelings of shame or hopelessness. Job was no different than you and I as he felt the shame of suffering sighing aloud the fear he cannot escape.

With good friends sitting with him in his misery he opened up sharing the discomfort yet never defaming his Maker or grumbling against the God he loved so much. He would soon hear his pals reprove him pondering the chant of prayer this week, “Is not your piety a source of confidence and your integrity of life your hope?” If only our own pals will stand by us with such love doing for God what we do for those in need. Amen.

We ask in prayer. Dear LORD, we pray to be an ear to our friends in need. Novena prayers day three for St. Louis Emmaus brothers. Prayers for Kairos Prison #50. Prayers for my son Jeff. Prayers for Dr. Cruz†Peluca.  LORD from Job 4:6 I chant; “Is not your piety a source of confidence, and your integrity of life your hope?” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

Job 3 21 thru 26 Food barely sighing readily his taste

Come not death toilers long for wait

Spirit bitter treasure search they abate

Death campaign witness those relate

Grave glad exultingly rejoice demise their fate

Him hidden path man denies he can face

Hemmed by God alive by His grace

Food barely sighing readily his taste

Water well worship groans gagging gaze

Overtaken with fear in constant haste

Dreaded pain shame hard to chase

No ease or peace granted seemingly in disgrace

Come has trouble no rest for Job is misplaced
