The Gospel of John Six 60 thru 66

60 Then many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?” 61 Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, “Does this shock you? 62 What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him. 65 And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.” 66 As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.

The life of Christ is one of the most difficult involved circumstances you will ever become a part of. But once you’re there you will never want to leave. You won’t be by Jesus his side in every aspect of your life. You will call on him when difficult times arise but I encourage you to continue to call on him daily as life may arise. Try as my wife and I do to place God First seeking not the world of our own desires but those of our Lord.

Giving our all to Jesus is a difficult thing to do just like the disciples following along with him trying to understand what it meant to eat his body and blood. Today it is still a hot topic yet only those who roast in the oven a fallacy find life hot by their projection of a hellish end forgetting as the disciples did the beauty of his nourishment obtained in the spirit garnered by practice, prayer and proclamation of salvation’s grace. Let him speak to you searching the Scriptures finding an understanding of everything Jesus. Amen.

Hard life disciples’ plight

Accept may who

Jesus knew murmuring fight

Shocking the crew

Man’s Son ascending sight

Argue then surprised too

Before go Heaven’s Light

Judging as you do

Life given Spirit in you

Flesh nothing remember your youth

Life and Spirit spoken to you

Believe not many lack Truth

His betrayers He had known

Father granting actions unbeknownst stoned

Jesus finding himself all alone

Followers forgotten accompaniment was gone
