Evil works plight
The Gospel of John Chapter Three
Sixteen thru Eighteen
19 And this is the verdict, that
the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because
their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light
and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. 21 But
whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly
seen as done in God.
When you see the works of God in action you know the truth
lies ahead for those who are walking the path of righteousness by the light of
salvation. For some reason this seems hard to do as we grow in wisdom lacking
the understanding to take the word of God creating a light that puts aside
evil. We seem to think that we are untouchable not capable of being labeled a
Christian by the Catholic faith. You can’t understand what it means to live the
true presence of Christ on a daily basis unless you look at the history of where
the foundation of the true church was created by Christ who saved the world.
The reality of living for Christ IS known by those who don’t
recognize the true Christ consecrated yet shared to those who like Roy Gallus
lived his life to the very end proclaiming His name. We laid to rest our
brother-in-law over the weekend experiencing the life of a Catholic who’s
foundation lived his practice, prayer and proclamation of everything Jesus. The
kind of man who would stop his day to offer a meal to a homeless man. Not just food
dropped and scattered but the breaking of bread offering enjoying conversation
our humanity craves to find each and every day.
I listened to the formation his two sons discussed in brief
recognizing the seed had been planted by inviting my brother-in-law to an
Emmaus retreat some years ago. The result was active participation and the
ultimate invitation to both of his sons to live OUR Walk to Emmaus. His younger
son spoke first reminiscing of the banquet he would give the unknown small
little deeds that continued on his own where a steady observation led to his
own conversion shown. The older one spoke next holding back tears yet knowing
he had shared everything to his dad of unknown fears where they disappeared when
he began to act and live as his father.
These are just small examples of understanding the joy of
salvation because once understood we seem to relinquish the fears around us
facing the world with salvation as the strength of God. We no longer avoid
those who are obviously in need relinquishing the selfish acts of disrespect
minding our manners as much as our mouth. This light is eternally bright losing
not the filaments of redemption by the promise of a father who gave his only
son to combat evil constantly aware of a smile only seen by the one to live the
word of God knowing all sins are forgiven and an unhinged life is agreed. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord.
I believe You died and rose for me. Prayer intentions. Prayers for my son Allen
Thomas Wiggins. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Silence for the prayers of others.
CORO-19 prayers globally. Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His
Name we pray. Amen.
