Do your utmost to support your faith with goodness, goodness with understanding, understanding with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with devotion, devotion with kindness to the brothers, and kindness to the brothers with love. Second Peter 1:5-7

Second Peter 1:2-7, Psalm 21 & Mark 12:1-12

How do you support the faith? The faith you live everyday to accomplish the Will of God. When Peter wrote his letter, he was addressing people who were once alienated from their beliefs by a society that shunned their desires to know God and embrace His Truth in every way possible. He was explaining to them to act in goodness with understanding allowing self-control to persevere in devotion being kind to one another expressing the love Christ instilled in the hearts of all humanity.

I see this everyday in my local community of Brothers and Sisters who lift each other up in thought, prayer and deed. It’s amazing sometimes to see the Spirit of God working in men who are working with complete strangers. I know it’s important to share the love of God with our family, neighbors and co-workers but to see the impact God’s Truth can have on a complete stranger enables something inside you that radiates in your veins, heart and soul as a warmth of comfort like no other. It’s God’s Eternal Spirit of Love wrapped as One around you, which is as easy to share as saying 1, 2, 3.

I often talk about the Three P’s of living God’s Will to share the joy of knowing His Truth- of understanding His Forgiveness of all sin. For me, once I began living in this surrendered relationship of Christ’s love and Salvation, I began to see how easy and important it is to reach out to people around you by living in practice, prayer and preaching in your appearance- this is as simple as wearing a Cross or a t-shirt with God’s Message of Hope. It’s as easy as saying thank you to somebody for blessing their departure of another person. When I notice this, I always approach them and say “thank you” for taking the time to enable God’s love.

As a society of believers and non believers alike, we are afforded to express ourselves with faith, hope and love. I pray everyday we build up our society to be unafraid to witness this unity. A friend wrote a reply to my dark encounter recently sharing what a priest once told her that even in the in the darkest of times, we must know God gift of faith is there. “In my own much much longer periods of emptiness is to try to remember that when we are feeling the most furthest away from God and in the darkest dark,  that is when God’s gift of Faith to us is the strongest – because all we are surviving on is Faith alone.”

Living in this faith of surrender can guide us through even the darkest of dark where goodness prevails living in an understanding of self control accomplishing perseverance instilled by the kindness we live for one another. When we begin seeing one another as a Brother and Sister in Christ, we live a desire to share God’s Eternal Spirit of Love given to us through His Son our LORD Jesus Christ. Here lies the rescue, recovery and resistance we need to live a life free from sin. A life in community. It’s as easy as 1,2,3. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to support our faith with goodness, understanding, self-control, perseverance, devotion, kindness and love. We pray to be STRONG for Your Purpose LORD in forgiveness and love. For in You we acclaim all glory. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Salutations of grace, peace and abundance

A power so Divine is bestowed upon us

By our life in His Word avoiding carnage

He is everything life is in devotion

Realization of Him sets off commotion

We are called in His glory and powerful notions

Precious and great promises served as humanity’s potion

Where we share in His Divine Nature Fair

We escape corruption and evil desired flair

Supplementing our faith with virtue and knowledge

Self-control gives endurance for kindness upon us

Mutual Affection comes from Christ to Astonish
