Defiled weak conscious
1 Corinthians, Chapter 8 07 thru 09
7 But not all have this knowledge. There are some who have been so used to idolatry up until now that, when they eat meat sacrificed to idols, their conscience, which is weak, is defiled. 8 Now food will not bring us closer to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, nor are we better off if we do. 9 But make sure that this liberty of yours in no way becomes a stumbling block to the weak.
We are experiencing the very exact same thing here in our world today just as Paul did with others in the Corinthians considering idolatry as something that they were just used to doing and that they would keep doing the sacrifices for meat because it was something natural historically to do. This is the self-will or the liberty per se that Paul uses in this short verse as we close up chapter 8 tomorrow you can understand that stumbling over of the road blocks of life are nothing more than the challenges to survive understanding God gives us command over all the animals whether we see them flying in the air, in depths of the sea or running fast across the land we are in control of what God allows us to do and this can lead a Weakness or we think what we’re doing is just an okay natural hereditary type of thing to accomplish.
It’s not food nor money nor relationships with others who seem holy that will bring us closer to God. We must practice daily reading the Bible enjoying what we experience as new beginnings each day. We must learn that this is a part of a prayer life that is unceasing and is encompassed into the things that you do just by the words that you speak and the actions that you take even if they are in silence for God will reveal to others what we reveal quietly in his grace. Amen.

Liberty tumbling block
Cuisine created laughingstock
