Wigs Word of God Today
Universal Utterings for 1-28-2014
David came dancing before the LORD with abandon. When David went home to bless his own house, Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet him and said, “How well the king of Israel has honored himself today, exposing himself to the view of the slave girls of his followers, as a commoner might expose himself!” But David replied to Michal: “I was dancing before the LORD. As the LORD lives, who chose me over your father and all his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD’s people, Israel, not only will I make merry before the LORD, but I will demean myself even more. I will be lowly in your eyes, but in the eyes of the slave girls you spoke of I will be somebody.” Second Samuel 6:14, 20-22
[For] whoever does the Will of God is my brother and sister and mother.” Mark 3:35
Second Samuel 6:1-23, Psalm 135 & Mark 3:31-35
The Ark of the Covenant had frightened King David leaving it behind in a home that we learn had become blessed by the Ark being in their midst. Upon learning this, David brought the Ark into the city displaying “full abandon” dancing and singing amidst the people much like the joy Jesus brings to our hearts when we listen to God’s music hummed from Psalms or attending to Godly music from a church choir, we all feel the joy in giving our all to the provider of Salvation for humanity’s freedom. We have to give our all to God in ways we purposely lower ourselves to for the Glory of God’s only Son.
We have to challenge ourselves to show more for God outwardly being afraid not of the gossip as much as we become concerned with the dialogue created by the one who sees or hears the message. My wife and I want people to see this beauty of placing God First from naming our wireless network God First to placing it on our cars back windows; God First is the dancing we are doing in the streets by the “abandon” we give to God. For as our windows read under the God First letters: “All else will fall into place.” We can learn from David to give totally by placing God First in all we do. Amen.
We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray we can abandon ourselves for You LORD. Novena prayers day seven for Cecile Silva. Constant prayers for TD. Greg Bishop has our never-ending prayers. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. LORD from Psalm 135:13, I chant, “O LORD, Your Name is forever, Your renown, from generation to generation!” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

David the King Abandon for God to Sing– Second Samuel 6:1-23
Brought the Ark
From the house embarked
To his city on high
Dancing and singing alive
Abandon complete for His Covenant
Given in ten rules of government
No God before the One and only who saves
Joy full of shouts, dancing and praise
Sacrifice of old seems the affair
An ox here and a fatling there
Within a tent the Ark would prepare
David to give peace and burnt offerings of care
David blessed his people’s love
Giving his all to never shun
The people who celebrate the Ark to become
Chosen people of God as One
Saul’s daughter thought him weird
Michal chastised him to unknowingly fear
Rejecting her understanding not so dear
Childless woman who never could rear
David the King Abandon for God to Sing
