Since the Passover of the Jews was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, as well as the money-changers seated there. He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables, and to those who sold doves he said, “Take these out of here, and stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.” His disciples recalled the Words of Scripture, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” John 2:13-17

He will receive blessings from the LORD, and justice from his saving God. Such is the generation that seeks him. Psalm 24:5-6a

Because he himself was tested through what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested. Hebrews 2:18

John 2:13-17, Psalm 24 & Hebrews 2:18

Beginning with the last Gospel seems to bring us to different heights of Divine recollection scribing the thoughts and actions of Christ’s miracle mission trip that ignited the world with Mercy overcoming all mistakes granting forgiveness to any and all sin to inject into mankind love, faith and hope of charity recognized as the One and only Jesus. Here we see Jesus taking His house back informing most like our pastor that panhandling, selling wares or seeking donations in front of the church is strictly forbidden unless deemed worthy of giving for the least the overabundance of our feast.

Every denomination across the world has its own ways of raising funds to sustain its operations in different contexts allowing mankind to find abundant resources to overcome hunger, homelessness and hatred as God so intended in Christ. We experience the zeal of Christ early on in John’s Gospel granting us a look of His feelings that swirled around in the human mind of Jesus propelling the Divine miracles recorded and upheld for more than 2000 years. Everyone can overcome suffering of some sort showing Him willing to be scourged, mocked and crucified for the sake of mankind. Every single test you encounter until the end of time must be lived in rejoicing overcoming by your practice, prayer and proclamation how to live Spirit led God inspired Christ fed. Amen.
