THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 2 21 THRU 24
21 When eight days were completed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel before he was conceived in the womb. 22 When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, 23 just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,” 24 and to offer the sacrifice of “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,” in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord.
This is about follow the letter of the law dating back thousands of years guiding the faithful bringing each and everyone to the state of rest we’re self-will gives in to love, hope and faith of everything eternal. Many seem to point out the negativity created by opinion when comparing that was then and this is now. The act of circumcision baby boys have no choice in many cases but to experience for the world has come to decide it is always not necessary to tear the skin off the genitals of baby boys. No choice was I given a pleasure doctors must deplore.
One thing for sure the rights of passage to all children will come from a parent who diligently guides the child until the day the kid deems they’re ready to leave when they reach the age of maturity that our law has set as the age of 18. Yet many will leave and find the streets their home before maturity sets in seeking excess more than just getting stoned the need to end a trauma they are running from finding escape denying the Son. As the holy couple did so many years ago, give your child over to the Lord and consecrate him to the will of God and let them go. Always welcome them back to help them grow before we know it we’ll be dust the world walks on for sure. Amen.
