Children: Senseless death causing us to remain dumbstruck in despair.

O God of Hosts, restore us; light up Your face and we shall be saved. Psalm 80:8

Sirach 48:1-4, 9-11, Psalm 80 & Matthew 17:10-13

The world is aching more and more by acts that ask us to call out to the God of Hosts because we are bewildered by the evil actions of a person gone mad. We’ve been digging around the Truth as if it were a cancer we want to rid ourselves of but is undoubtedly the faith, hope and love our Creator beckons humanity to embrace. It seems we hear the world reporting only to God when we experience the evil lost insanity of an individual who has snapped to originate despair, desolation and death.

Our jaws drop and our souls sink into a painful abyss that aches only as a sore truly does when we hear children are involved celebrating life innocently gunned down by a person living in resentment experiencing rage. We are asked by our leaders to offer prayers and thoughts of good will seemingly a generation to late as we ask ourselves how, who and why? Now we want know why evil spurted out of a man’s mind making his actions life-altering in an instant. What broke loose from its moor in a brain brought up in much the same way you and I were? How will we learn to tether souls that are lost to God’s faith, hope and love?

Are we avoiding the Truth because we have become numb to the ongoing pain our youth of the world are experiencing? Why do we only call out to God in death and despair instead of calling out to God daily in prayer for His Purpose? We’ve dug an altered route to Truth by our lost morals of flesh, flash and flair of the secular world’s enticing vehicles of instant gratification leading to death causing us to remain dumbstruck in despair. As a teacher, the images of yesterday placed enormous desire to pray and celebrate each child or adult killed. Today I remain numb in prayer filled with faith.

Our measures of excluding God from our children’s needs are evidently out-of-date as much as the need to pray every moment of every day is not being called upon in moments of procrastination. Have we proved yet God should be First in our lives? Today we awake to the headlines of horror instead of the sounds of cartoons for 20 children who just went to school to learn about love and life. Our prayers are steadfast for each mom and dad, brother and sister that go back generations. I pray the victims instill in the world God requests for prayer. As we call out, “O God of Hosts, restore us; light up Your face and we shall be saved.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we call out to You in determination not desolation. We pray today for the children LORD who died. We pray for the parents. Day 3 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena, update to follow. Praying for Greg Bishop. We are free in Christ LORD and we thank You. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Give your son to Me as sacrifice not shame– Genesis 22

In time God puts Abraham to the test

His beloved Isaac will do at his best

Take him to a place I say to give Me praise

He did as he was told before God eliminated the haze

He was told to build an Altar to praise His Holy Name

Give your son to Me as sacrifice not shame

With his knife held high above him to sacrifice his son

An angel stepped in and stopped his death undone
