Can you live for God’s approval in the factions of life?

There have to be factions among you in order that (also) those who are approved among you may become known. First Corinthians 11:19

LORD, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy to have You enter under my roof. Therefore, I did not consider myself worthy to come to You; but say the Word and let my servant be healed. Luke 7:6b-7

First Corinthians 11:17-26, 33, Psalm 40 & Luke 7:1-10

The love of Christ extends way further than the feeling you derive from the ministry work you do at your church once a week or every so often during the year. There is so much more to God than just a Sunday visit with friends, family and ministers who drive you to do more at your home of spiritual encampment. God is asking us to give additional “time, talent and treasure” in everyday situations that arise as you drive to work, walk the streets during lunch or finding our way to that special sale in a mall or department store.

We’ve all encountered this type of atmosphere in church where people gather yet know nothing of the person next to them or the situations driving their heart. These small factions in a house of worship seem unapproachable as they tout the “open door policy” of every facet of their ministry work. There comes growth of heart when these factions shut you out creating either a stronger faith or weaker desire than ever before to fulfill the call of placing God First.

What could have seemed be to the answer to your prayers may turn out a shameful force pushing aside the delicate beginnings of surrendering your life to Christ. Be strong if you’re not accepted in the group relying on the Spirit of God to guide your every step across the playing field of life. There will come along the people God meant for you to have in your surroundings that fulfills every facet of His Will in your life. Actively do what your heart calls you to do by calling out to God First. Even Jesus was shunned by His own hometown helping us to know strength in rejection to accomplish even more for the world.

There is a feeling that is extended into our very breath, blood and brain in consuming Communion allowing Jesus to enter under our roof of “Free Will” lifting you out of factions and into the embrace of Christ’s Arms. He will come to you in Body and Spirit if you just say yes to His Salvation depending not on your own skill to fix the leak in your roof but the tenacity, toughness and Truth of Christ to pull you though any situation. Be not afraid to be righteous in Him. Look for other men, women and believers to live for Christ’s desire.

When I branch out to other groups such as the “Men of Faith” day of reflection I attended Saturday, you allow yourself to find not division, discord and dissention but the “real” essence of Christ in living His Will of perfection. My thoughts in God’s lyrics came readily Saturday from Father Jordi whose thoughts, talents and time will be given over the next few days in my poetry below to share his soul’s desire of Christ’s Salvation. Can you live for God’s approval in the factions of life? Be not a faction but a fact by God’s Truth. Amen.

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray today to live not as a faction but a friend in Your Son’s Name. We pray for the world’s faiths to be respectful of each other’s opinions. I’m praying today for you the reader of my study, each and every one of you, especially those who write me and share their heart and soul not as factions but friends in Christ. We are thankful LORD in practice, prayer and preaching. Jesus Christ is Risen! We pray in His Precious Name indeed. Amen.
