Letter to the Philippians Three v- 17 thru 20
21 He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the power that enables him also to bring all things into subjection to himself.
I think it’s natural to think about our bodies after death. Many choose the path of cremation while others choose the path of embalming yet even still some choose the path of natural burial which normally has to happen within a couple of days I believe. Yes I know there’s other religions that state when they should be buried or by such a time but in our case so many of us today are choosing to be cremated and thus enable family to place your remains in just about any location of the world be it land or sea. The Church teaches that you may choose how to be buried enabling a celebration Mass of thanksgiving for your life to be accomplished in the Name of Jesus where we continue to receive His body and blood in a remembrance of the spirit that is now being embraced by the Christ that we believe lives in a body glorified conforming all things into subjection to Himself. Our lives are complete by this belief and the way we choose to be buried will never affect the way we remember these individuals be it family, friends or foes the grace God appointed to us to forgive and live with his peace, his passion and his persistence not seeking our own will but that of our Father in Heaven. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for our children especially Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for dying as we do each day. Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others. Holy Spirit and St Joseph CC & Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
