Are you a Veteran Slave of God?

(Are you an) “Apostle of Jesus Christ for the sake of the faith of God’s chosen ones and the recognition of religious truth”(?) Titus 1:1b

My true child in our common faith: grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior. Titus 1:4b

If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him. Luke 17:3-4

Titus 1:1-9, Psalm 24 & Luke 17:1-6

I dare to say you are unless you are “a slave of God” as Paul was who brought about Christ’s Gospel by the sweat of his brow literally walking for miles the True Apostle of God’s Only Son. I know, many of you ask; “Isn’t being a slave to God a really over the top?” Or is it? When you live in faith, charity and love, you abide in the Spirit of God’s Truth to share the only Salvation offered to mankind ridding you of the guilt, gluttony and greed of living without God. It’s a simple choice “in the hope of Eternal Life that God, Who does not lie, promised before time began, Who indeed at the proper time revealed His Word in the Proclamation with which I was entrusted by the command of God our Savior.” Titus 1:2-3

Jesus reminds us today that we are sinners who are going to sin but He asks us to seek forgiveness as well as give forgiveness to those who wrong you. I am troubled people can’t see God’s Truth because they are blinded by the high-beam lights of greed and gluttony masking your heart pounding with guilt that seems everlasting. “I’m in too deep” may come the little voice of selfish desires. We must “rebuke him” as Jesus commands to the little voice and the one who wrongs you or attempts to teach you wrong doctrine in any way bidding instead to dim their lights of confusion to become enriched in a dialogue of God’s Truth. We must “admonish them sharply, so that they may be sound in the faith.” I beg of us all to live Paul’s description of a True Apostle as “hospitable, a lover of goodness, temperate, just, holy, and self-controlled, holding fast to the True Message as taught so that he will be able both to exhort with sound doctrine and to refute opponents. For there are also many rebels, idle talkers and deceivers.”

Today we celebrate the day of all Military Veterans who stood guard over the American Freedom we all live and enjoy each and every moment of every day. I remember so vividly the smells and lines of enlisting to seeing the snow along the shores of the Great Lakes Boot Camp facility I’d soon be marching in and shoveling the very ice that fell in our paths. I used to think one day I’d look back and reflect the oceans waves I sat for hours on deck in a beautiful night sky moving across the Atlantic Ocean to see the wonders of the Mediterranean I’ll never forget. I’ll never forget crossing the “Line of Death” in 1986 where the now dead leader of Libya once established in the Gulf of Sidra. The ever present feeling of General Quarters being called in the middle of the night to protect our freedom a million miles away. Here I became a Veteran where the love of God seemed a distant shore. Today I am a Veteran for Truth to enjoy the true freedoms of religious desires, smaller government and a fighting force second to none. Let us pray God will hear us call out to Him for protection, purpose and power to overcome all immorality the world over. Amen.

Let us pray: Dear God, we pray to live as Your Apostle of Truth forgiving as well as to seek forgiveness.  We pray for Fighting men and women of the Armed Forces. We pray for our families, friends and foes alike. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Rejoice and have peace in Christ Jesus!

Guard completely the heart of Truth– Luke 17:1-4

Jesus taught as the Master

Stating the forgiveness known

For sin inevitably chosen

By humanity obviously sown

To sin is woe from Christ we heard

A millstone around your neck

Cause a little one to sin

Tossed into the sea your trek

Guard completely the heart of Truth

Even when brother sins rebuke him loose

If he repents find forgiveness in you

I am sorry even seven times a day you must do
