Anxiety less welcomed in the Lord
Letter to the Philippians Two v- 25 thru 30
25 With regard to Epaphroditus, my brother and co-worker and fellow soldier, your messenger and minister in my need, I consider it necessary to send him to you. 26 For he has been longing for all of you and was distressed because you heard that he was ill. 27 He was indeed ill, close to death; but God had mercy on him, not just on him but also on me, so that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow. 28 I send him therefore with the greater eagerness, so that, on seeing him, you may rejoice again, and I may have less anxiety. 29 Welcome him then in the Lord with all joy and hold such people in esteem, 30 because for the sake of the work of Christ he came close to death, risking his life to make up for those services to me that you could not perform.
There once was a Philippian who had a name no one could pronounce. Except those who knew him as a brother in Christ because Epaphroditus was sent before Saints ruled. He went to help Paul overcome even the sickness that others didn’t rule. That is survive through certain things I’m sure that when penicillin wasn’t abundant as I’m reminded what it feels like when sickness overcomes your being and you lay there in the mercy of God himself hoping someone comes along who can nurse you like a daughter or a son or maybe it’s that special one in your life you married to become one.
We can all relate to this brother who helped Paul and himself live by the Gospels news certainly important enough to mention in God’s Word we would forever see to rule. Maybe today your reflecting on your own mortality as God prepares you as His food for God will swallow the everything we see in reality without even a drool. God wants us all prepared to live Eternally free from worry or threats of others only those close to you will see because to call on Jesus will make you a target for others to disagree. Be steadfast wanting what God wants in Redemption for humanity to be set free. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for our children especially Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for dying as we do each day. Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others. Holy Spirit and St Joseph CC & Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Co-Worker and brother mine Epaphroditus
Philippi Apostle caring for Paul sent returned
Minister to the needs of all in spite of us
Distressed in longing for healthiness his not spurned
Ill indeed was he
Death very close
Mercy God had indeed
Paul as well to the nose
Saving sorrow upon sorrow noise
Eagerness great sending him forth
Again in his arms all will rejoice
Anxiety less welcomed in the Lord
For Christ’s sake death was close
Life risking for the Gospel he loudly spoke
Performing services for me I was indispose
