Letter to the Hebrews Six v- 13 thru 16

13 When God made the promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, “he swore by himself,” 14 and said, “I will indeed bless you and multiply” you. 15 And so, after patient waiting, he obtained the promise. 16 Human beings swear by someone greater than themselves; for them an oath serves as a guarantee and puts an end to all argument.

We only have God to swear by. God is to never be sworn at. Amen. God is the perfect truth and if we can’t understand this truth then we are blind to the existence of a God who shows us things that should make the fear be overcome one would say easily by the practice of His Word daily to find the Will of He Who created the world. On my own I am nothing but in Him I see and feel the Miracles of Faith believed and understood by Abraham to make nations followers of this absolute Omnipotence. Sometimes they can be such easy commands like Jesus washing the feet of his disciples and telling them you must do the same as my disciples further instructing us to accomplish the same.

We left our Holy Thursday Mass yesterday evening at around 830 to 9 o’clock and as we were leaving my soulmate in Christ asked me to drive over to where we know somebody is living in their car and homeless. Without question I began the journey there and upon arrival we found a man sitting in the passenger seat of an automobile who he said was owned by somebody working at a local store and he was waiting for him to get off to spend time with him stating that he wasn’t homeless he had a home nearby yet that didn’t matter to us as Toni simply explained to him that today was the day Jesus wash the disciples feet and He has instructed us to do the same. “Can we wash your feet?” She said. He replied, “of course.” Toni handed me the towel and said you do the drying and she leaned down and helped him take his socks off and commenced to washing his feet. I then went to my knees and took both his feet and began to dry them. His reaction was one of smiles and of total accepting love. We blessed the man with a prayer and began our journey home feeling accomplished in Christ astonished and unafraid. Amen.

Catechist Paragraph 144 explains; “To obey (from the Latin ob-audire, to “hear or listen to”) in faith is to submit freely to the word that has been heard, because its truth is guaranteed by God, who is Truth itself. Abraham is the model of such obedience offered us by Sacred Scripture. The Virgin Mary is its most perfect embodiment. Abraham – “father of all who believe”

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day. Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others. Holy Spirit and St Joseph CC & Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

I am a poet obedient to Christ,

Abraham promised by God

Greater none swear whom concede

Himself He swore to applaud

Multiply you blessed indeed

Waiting patiently so

Promised obtained and won

Greater than he to know

Serving oath guarantee argument none
