Wig’s Word of God Today 8-23-2012
A new heart awaits you for the few who accept. “I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26
Many are invited, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:14
Ezekiel 36:23-28, Psalm 51 & Matthew 22:1-14
God has placed in our midst the Prophets of old to relay the desires God wants us, His people, to live by allowing each of us the opportunity to know His Decrees by the Truth recorded in His Word. Our selfish desires of flesh and excess has pushed us away from living according to the harmony God describes through each Prophet if we’d only embrace this Truth as our guide each and every day. Many of you have felt a “new heart and a new spirit” given to us by God when we accepted His ever present invitation to surrender to His Son’s Redemption.
This invitation is not a once in a lifetime choice that must be made, rather, God has placed in our lives the opportunity at ANY time to accept His Son Jesus Christ as our Redeemer from sin by repenting each time we do sin. God knew we would sin again and again and again and He has given us His Son’s Blood to wash us clean over and over and over for it is our nature to sin and separate ourselves from God. It’s when our surrender becomes our life’s purpose to live for His Purpose that we can say “I am a sinner but God keeps me from sin by the choice I make to live for Him in everything I do.”
When we accept His Call to become focused on His Word in practice, pray unceasingly over everything we do and share His God News with the people around us will we know His Spirit lives within us to accomplish His Will. Amen. “I will put My Spirit within you so that you walk in My statutes, observe My ordinances, and keep them.” Ezekiel 36:27 Jesus reminds us today that if accept His personal invitation to His feast of Truth, we will be one of the few who accept Eternal Life as a reward of living in His Father’s Glory to become Christians for life. He warns us in the Parable of the Wedding Feast that you will be judged by Him and given due punishment for living a life of sin in excess, murder and fornication. For “many are invited, but few are chosen.” Amen.
So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to find our desires align with Your Word to accept the new heart and spirit You give us. We pray for strength LORD to be all we can for You. We pray for tolerance of all people. We accept Your Divine Will in all things. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Few are chosen but many are invited to accept- Matthew 22:1-14
There was a wedding feast thrown
By the King of Truth be known
His invited guests were all late
Many ignored His Truth in hate
Some laid hold of servants in disgust
Not accepting the Truth to trust
Killing them in an absolute fuss
Sending His troops to overcome the lust
The murderers were not worthy to come
With the feast ready He invited all for fun
The good the bad and the ugly He didn’t shun
Except the one out of wedding garment’s sum
When invited to God’s feast come dressed for success
Choose not the clothes of filth and excess
For you will be thrown into hell’s darkness to press
The wailing and grinding of teeth you experience at best
Few are chosen but many are invited to accept
