God allowed us to see this person of spite become God’s messenger of splendor.

A light from the sky suddenly flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” He said, “Who are You, sir?” The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Acts 9:3c-5

For My Flesh is True Food, and My Blood is True Drink. Whoever eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood remains in Me and I in him. John 6:55-56

Acts 9:1-20, Psalm 117 & John 6:52-59

We all share in the feeling of persecution allowing us yet but a glimpse of what the beginning church must have felt like. These men and women were afraid for their lives being sought like animals for living a life of Truth. They hid from practicing their communion with Christ just as many Catholics today hide from acknowledging the True Presence when the love of God’s Word leads all universally to the transubstantiation of the bread and wine to God’s True Presence during the collection of God’s children forming the bound where we become in complete communion with Jesus Christ. It was a bound a young ravenous persecutor of people like you and me would soon undertake in a transformation that can take place in any person alive.

God allowed us to see this person of spite become God’s messenger of splendor so anyone throughout history would see even these type of people can change. Saul became Paul that day becoming blind causing fasting indulged in prayer for his life accepting Christ being baptized washing him clean in his profession of faith in Christ Jesus. He began to celebrate what he confined in his selfish acts through practice literally writing the Word of God by the Holy Spirit around him. His life became a life of prayer remaining in Christ through constant communion by a life of sharing Christ’s Salvation. Here, we follow Paul living in God’s Word proclaiming the love of forgiveness by faith, hope and love of charity’s Truth. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to live in the Light that changed a liar to a Friar loving Your Son’s Truth. Praying for the soul of David Generozzo who has given me many smiles, many short phone calls, many Sundays in Denny’s after church loving pancakes and whip cream and vanilla shakes. He shared with me silently a dear spirit of dignity I’ll always remember with love. He died suddenly Wednesday after a short illness at the age of 50. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has constant prayers. LORD from Psalm 149:9 I chant- “To execute the judgments decreed for them— such is the glory of all God’s faithful. Hallelujah!” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
