Locked doors week day first evening

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side.* The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 [Jesus] said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. 23 Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” John 20:19-23

How many of us can remember unlock doors as we grew up never worrying about them being locked and robbed or accosted by someone who sought to disrupt your lives. The Jews sought to disrupt the lives of the disciples obviously hoping to squash their failure to understand why Jesus came to the world. Finding Jesus in their midst was an opportunity to understand his divine abilities standing in the room without entering through a locked door wanting them to understand peace in all things. What they find is there duty called on in surrender being sent by him to forgive and be forgiven from the sins of the world obtained receiving the Spirit so Holy granting them complete understanding of Scripture instilling Redemption by His death on the Cross. Amen.
