08-29-2024 1 Corinthians 1 V-0409 Irreproachable on the Day of Lord Jesus
The 1st Letter to the Corinthians Chapter 1 v-Four thru Nine
4 I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in him you were enriched in every way, with all discourse and all knowledge, 6 as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you, 7 so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. 8 He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus [Christ]. 9 God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Apostle Paul expresses gratitude to God for the Corinthians and highlights the grace bestowed upon them through Jesus Christ. In these verses, Paul emphasizes the spiritual gifts and blessings that the Corinthian church has received, underscoring the importance of divine grace in their lives.
Paul begins by thanking God for the grace given to the Corinthians, which reflects his pastoral concern and recognition of their unique calling. He acknowledges that they have been enriched in every way—in speech and knowledge—indicating that the church is not lacking in spiritual gifts. This enrichment serves to affirm the active presence of the Holy Spirit within the community, showing that God is at work among them.
The passage also emphasizes the idea of unity in Christ. Paul notes that the testimony about Christ was confirmed among them, suggesting that their faith and understanding of the Gospel are grounded in a shared experience of God’s truth. This unity is vital for the health of the church, especially as Paul later addresses divisions and issues within the Corinthian community.
Moreover, Paul expresses confidence that God will sustain the Corinthians until the end. This assurance speaks to the faithfulness of God, who promises to keep His people and provide them with what they need to persevere in their faith. Lastly, Paul concludes with a declaration of the calling of the Corinthians into fellowship with Jesus Christ. This highlights their identity and purpose as believers, encouraging them to live in a way that reflects their relationship with Christ. In summary, 1 Corinthians 1:4-9 serves as a reminder of God’s grace, the importance of unity, and the assurance of His faithfulness, setting the stage for Paul’s further teachings to the church. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Irreproachable on the Day of Lord Jesus**
In Corinth’s heart, where grace abounds,
Paul writes with love, his voice resounds.
“Thank God,” he says, “for gifts you share,
In speech and knowledge, beyond compare.
You’ve been enriched, His Spirit flows,
In every heart, His light bestows.
With wisdom deep and truth in sight,
You shine as stars, reflecting His light.
United in Christ, your faith stands strong,
In testimony, where you all belong.
No lack is found in His embrace,
For in His love, you find your place.
He’ll keep you firm until the end,
A faithful guide, your truest friend.
In fellowship sweet, you’re called to be,
One body, one heart, in complete harmony.
So let your lives in Him be shown,
With gratitude and love where you’ve always grown.
For in this grace, you stand anew,
In Christ, dear friends, His promise true. Amen.
