The Book of 2 Corinthians 9 v- Six thru Nine
6 Consider this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written: “He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”
In 2 Corinthians 9:6-9, the Apostle Paul emphasizes the joy and spiritual enrichment that comes from living a life of generosity and goodwill. Paul articulates a principle of sowing and reaping: “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” (2 Corinthians 9:6). This verse underscores the idea that our actions, particularly in giving, have a direct impact on the blessings we receive.
Paul continues by encouraging believers to give willingly, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). This cheerful giving is not just about financial contributions but extends to acts of kindness, compassion, and sharing the truth. When we give from the heart, it brings joy and fulfillment that material wealth and excess desires cannot provide. This joy is a reflection of God’s own nature, who is the ultimate giver.
In verse 8, Paul reassures that God is able to make all grace abound so that we will always have everything we need. This promise highlights the abundance that comes from God, which is not merely material but encompasses peace, contentment, and spiritual richness. Living in His abundance means trusting that God provides sufficiently for our needs, allowing us to focus on giving rather than hoarding.
Verse 9 illustrates the righteous person who “scatters abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” This act of scattering implies a willingness to distribute resources widely and generously. It contrasts sharply with the mindset of accumulating excess for oneself. The joy derived from such a lifestyle is profound and lasting, far surpassing the fleeting satisfaction of life’s excesses.
By embracing this philosophy, believers can avoid becoming bullies of life’s excess—those who prioritize their so-called fundamental right over true compassion. Instead, they live in the true abundance of God’s provision, finding joy in righteousness and the shared goodwill that enriches both the giver and the receiver. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

**Fundamental rights void giver cheerful God loves**
In fields of grace, where seeds of kindness grow,
A truth profound, divine, we come to know.
For those who sow with sparing heart and hand,
Will find their harvest meager, grains of sand.
But generous hearts, with open palms that share,
Reap bountiful blessings, far beyond compare.
God loves a cheerful giver, so the Word does say,
In giving freely, we reflect His way.
Not driven by compulsion, but with joy so pure,
We scatter love, our hearts and souls secure.
In trust, we find our needs abundantly supplied,
For in His grace, all goodness does abide.
Believers can avoid being bullies of life’s excess,
Unlike those who hoard their “fundamental rights,” in selfishness.
For living God’s Laws, with compassion at our core,
Opens Heaven’s gates, and blessings pour.
The righteous scatter gifts to those in need,
Their legacy endures, in every generous deed.
Not bound by greed, nor weighed by wealth’s demand,
They walk in light, led by God’s gentle hand.
So let us give with hearts both full and free,
Reflecting love, as boundless as the sea.
In joy and peace, our spirits intertwine,
Living truth and grace, in God’s design. Amen.
