The Book of 2 Corinth 5 v- 11 thru 15

11 Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade others; but we are clearly apparent to God, and I hope we are also apparent to your consciousness. 12 We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you an opportunity to boast of us, so that you may have something to say to those who boast of external appearance rather than of the heart. 13 For if we are out of our minds, it is for God; if we are rational, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ impels us, once we have come to the conviction that one died for all; therefore, all have died. 15 He indeed died for all, so that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.

As we leave the Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, Indiana, Commissioned to share His True Presence in all that we do, we are reminded of the profound connection between our mission and the Eucharist, drawing from the words of 2 Corinthians 5:11-15. The apostle Paul speaks to us about the ministry of reconciliation, the compelling love of Christ, and our call to share this transformative message with the world.

In these verses, Paul emphasizes the reverence with which we approach our mission: “Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others” (2 Corinthians 5:11). This reverence is not out of dread, but out of deep respect and awe for the gift we have received in Christ. We are called to make known this truth, not for our own glory, but for the glory of God who sees our hearts.

As we partake in the Eucharist, we are reminded that Christ’s love compels us. “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died” (2 Corinthians 5:14). This love, demonstrated through His sacrifice, urges us to go forth and share the reality of peace and goodwill. The Eucharist is not merely a ritual; it is a profound encounter with the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord, who forgives, redeems, and offers us Salvation firsthand.

As we leave this Congress, commissioned to bring the healing Eucharist to the world, let us remember that we no longer live for ourselves, but for Him who died and was raised again. “And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again” (2 Corinthians 5:15). This mission is our calling: to be vessels of Christ’s love, living embodiments of His peace and goodwill.

In the Eucharist, we find the strength and grace to fulfill this mission. Let us go forth, compelled by Christ’s love, to share the healing and hope found in His sacrifice, bringing the reality of salvation to all we encounter. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Compelling Love of Christ**

In reverence, we persuade with care,

The truth of God we boldly share.

For known to Him our hearts remain,

And hope in you, that trust we gain.

No boast of self, but Christ is shown,

In His light, our deeds are eternally known.

If seen as strange, let it be clear,

It’s for God’s sake, whom we revere.

Compelled by love, in Christ we live,

His sacrifice, our hearts forgive.

One died for all, thus all have died,

In His new life, we now abide.

No longer bound by selfish aim,

We live for Him, who broke our chain.

From death to life, He leads us on,

In Christ, our Savior, we are drawn.

In His embrace, we’re made anew,

His love compels in all we do.

For we are His, and He is ours,

Redeemed by grace, endowed by His power. Amen.
