07-17-2024 Matthew 11 V-2830 Come to Me and Find Rest
The Book of Matthew 11 v- 28 thru 30
28 “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
In the heart of Matthew 11:28-30, we find an invitation tenderly extended by Jesus, a beacon for all who labor and are burdened by the weight of life’s challenges. “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,” He says, offering a sanctuary for the weary soul. This passage speaks volumes about the compassionate nature of Christ, who understands the struggles we face and provides a refuge from them within His heart of goodwill and redemption.
Jesus acknowledges the toil and weariness that can accompany our earthly journey. He recognizes the burdens we carry—be they physical, emotional, or spiritual. His call to “Come to Me” is not merely an invitation; it is a promise of respite and restoration. In a world where we often push ourselves to the brink, striving for success, approval, or simply to keep afloat, this promise of rest is profoundly comforting.
“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,” He continues, “for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Here, Jesus invites us to align ourselves with Him, to walk in His ways and learn from His teachings. The concept of a yoke, often associated with labor, is transformed in this context. Jesus’ yoke is not a burden but a means of guidance and support, a partnership where He shares in our struggles and lightens our load.
“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light,” He assures us. Unlike the heavy burdens imposed by the world, Jesus’ yoke brings freedom and peace. It is an invitation to a life of grace, where we are not defined by our failures or weighed down by our responsibilities but are uplifted by His love and mercy.
In these verses, we discover a profound truth: rest and peace are found not in the absence of difficulty but in the presence of Christ. Through Him, our souls find the solace and strength needed to navigate life’s trials helping those who need help the most. His invitation remains open, a perpetual call to find our true rest in Him. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
07-17-2024 Matthew 11 V-2830
**Come to Me and Find Rest**
Come to Me, all who labor and tire,
With hearts heavy-laden, beset by desire.
Lay down your burdens, your worries, your woes,
In My gentle embrace, find sweet repose.
For I am humble, gentle in heart,
From your troubles, you’ll soon depart.
Take up My yoke, a bond so light,
Together we’ll walk, day and night.
Learn from Me, in peace you’ll grow,
For My yoke is easy, this you’ll know.
My burden is light, your soul will rest,
In My care, you’ll find the best.
Come to Me, weary souls, and see,
In My love, you’ll truly be free.
For in My arms, your heart will mend,
And in My grace, your journey transcend. Amen.
