The Book of Psalm 5 v- One thru Five

2 Give ear to my words, O LORD; understand my sighing. 3 Attend to the sound of my cry, my king and my God! For to you I will pray, LORD; 4 in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will plead before you and wait. 5 You are not a god who delights in evil; no wicked person finds refuge with you.

How often do you cry out to the Lord? Is it in everything you do? God First means what in your life? How does your morning start? How do you live your days? What is the last words and thoughts of your day? Today we hear the psalmist cry out to the Lord in the morning, laying his requests before Him and waiting in expectation for His response. The psalmist acknowledges the holiness and righteousness of God, recognizing that He does not take pleasure in wickedness or evil. The psalmist understands that those who are boastful, deceitful, and wicked will not be able to stand in the presence of the Lord.

The psalmist seeks the Lord’s guidance and protection, asking Him to lead him in His righteousness and make His way straight. The psalmist trusts in the Lord’s unfailing love and mercy, knowing that he can find refuge in Him. He desires to dwell in the Lord’s presence and experience His joy and favor. As we reflect on these verses, we are reminded of the importance of seeking the Lord in prayer and placing our trust in Him. We are encouraged to approach Him first with all humility and reverence, acknowledging His holiness and righteousness. We are called to turn away from wickedness and deceit, choosing instead to walk in the ways of the Lord.

May we, like the psalmist, seek the Lord’s guidance and protection, trusting in His unfailing love and mercy. May we find refuge in His presence and experience His joy and favor as we walk in His righteousness. Let us lay our requests before Him, waiting in expectation for His response, knowing that He hears our cries and will lead us in His ways excusing the ignorant as we reflect on Salvation.

Reflect on these and what it means to surrender to each and every one. To not get angry or jealous comes to mind to understand that Charity must be Divine every action that creates a reaction to living for the least the sick the dying the imprisoned. Let’s talk about them now. The SEVEN CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY are Feeding the Hungry, Giving Drink to the Thirsty, Clothing the Naked, Sheltering the Homeless, Visiting the Imprisoned, Comforting the Sick and Burying the Dead. The SEVEN SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY are Teaching the Ignorant, Praying for the Living and the Dead, Correcting Sinners, Counseling Those in Doubt, Consoling the Sorrowful, Bearing Wrongs Patiently and Forgiving Wrongs Willingly. How hard it must be to live life without the protection of Jesus not knowing what it means to live forever not knowing Truth. Can you say you do each and every one? Are you a team player of this type of fun?  Salvation is Life Eternal this is when life has truly begun for the Son. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

07-02-2024 Psalm 5 v-0205

**Morning Prayer of the Righteous**

In the stillness of the dawn, I lift my voice in song,

To You, O Lord, my prayer ascends, a melody pure and strong.

You are my King, my God, my Light, in You I place my trust,

I come before Your throne of grace, in reverence and awe I must.

You are a God who hates all sin, deceit and wicked ways,

You will not tolerate the proud or the evil in Your gaze.

But I, in Your abundant love, am welcomed to Your side,

In righteousness I come to You, in Your mercy I abide.

Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness, make straight my path today,

For in Your presence I find joy, in Your ways I long to stay.

Shield me from all harm and danger, let Your favor be my guide,

For in Your mercy and Your grace, in You, I will abide. Amen.
