05-07-2024 Sirach 42 V1516 Works of God in Nature
The Book of Sirach Ch 42 v- 15 thru 16
15 Now will I recall God’s works; what I have seen, I will describe. By the LORD’s word his works were brought into being; he accepts the one who does his will. 16 As the shining sun is clear to all, so the glory of the LORD fills all his works.
The works of God in nature are an awe-inspiring testament to the divine artistry and intentionality that pervade the cosmos. From the delicate intricacy of a snowflake’s pattern to the grandeur of towering mountains, each element of the natural world speaks to the Creator’s masterful design. The Lord’s word, a force of both command and life, is said to have summoned the universe into existence, shaping chaos into order and infusing the void with vibrant substance.
The complexity of life itself, with its myriad forms and interdependent systems, reflects a higher intelligence that has meticulously crafted each creature to play a role in the larger tapestry of life. The precise laws of physics that govern the celestial bodies, causing planets to orbit stars in harmonious paths, demonstrate an underlying order that bespeaks intention and purpose.
In nature, God’s works not only reveal His power but also His care. The changing of seasons, the cycles of growth and decay, and the provision of resources all speak to a divine will that sustains and renews life. Even the most minute ecosystems are not neglected but are crafted with the same attention to detail as the vast expanses of the universe.
Those who observe and respect the natural order, aligning their actions with the will of the Creator, find a deeper sense of harmony with the world. There is a recognition that to honor nature is to acknowledge the divine hand behind it. Through understanding and coexisting with God’s works in nature, humanity can aspire to fulfill a divine purpose, living in concert with the environment rather than at odds with it. In embracing the will of God as expressed through the natural world, one finds a path to both stewardship and reverence, for in the eloquence of nature is the silent but potent voice of the divine. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Works of God in Nature**
Upon the canvas vast and grand,
The Lord’s word did command,
Nature’s beauty to unfold,
In patterns rich and stories untold.
Mountains rise in majesty,
Valleys carve their history,
Rivers twine in silver streams,
Reflecting heaven’s sunlit dreams.
Forests deep with verdant leaf,
Shelter creatures beyond belief,
From tiniest ant to the noble stag,
Each playing part in nature’s mag.
Oceans deep where mysteries dwell,
Their waves a rhythmic, soothing spell,
Teeming life beneath the blue,
A testament to what His word can do.
The sky, a tapestry of light,
Stars that twinkle through the night,
Planets dance in cosmic display,
The work of God in grand play.
Birds that soar on feathered wing,
To each, their unique song to sing,
In harmonies that blend and thrill,
Obeying their Creator’s love at will.
Flowers bloom in vibrant hue,
Morning kissed by drops of dew,
Each petal a silent praise,
To the Lord’s almighty mysterious ways.
In every leaf, and twig, and stone,
His artistry is clearly shown,
A masterpiece of love and power,
Unveiling more each passing hour.
He accepts the one who seeks His face,
The one who runs the faithful race,
Doing will that’s just and right,
Walking ever in His guiding light.
For in the works of nature we see,
The hand of God, so clear and free,
Inviting hearts to understand,
The love behind each crafted land.
Let us then with reverence stand,
And care for this entrusted land,
For in His works, we find our call,
To cherish and protect each and all. Amen.
