The Book of Sirach Ch 37 v- 13 thru 15

13 Then, too, heed your own heart’s counsel; for there is nothing you can depend on more. 14 The heart can reveal your situation better than seven sentinels on a tower. 15 Then with all this, pray to God to make your steps firm in the true path.

Today I share my study with you my NJ Brothers in Christ. My NJ Emmaus brothers have brought so much joy and love into my life, maintaining a fire within my heart and soul that keeps me connected to Christ every day. Your presence in my life has been a true blessing, and I am forever grateful for your support and prayers.

One of the ways that I express my love for Christ and share His message with others is through writing Scripture poetry. This creative outlet allows me to dive deep into the Word of God, finding inspiration and guidance in His teachings. Each poem is a reflection of my faith and is a way to connect with others who may be seeking the same spiritual fulfillment.

In addition to my poetry, I also write and record daily reflections on Scripture through Universal Utterings, a Godcast that I have started more than 18 years ago. This project has been a labor of love, as I pour my heart and soul into each episode in the hopes of reaching others who are seeking to deepen their relationship with Christ. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my faith in this way and to connect with a wider audience who may be searching for spiritual guidance.

For more than 14 years the support and prayers of the NJ Emmaus brothers have been instrumental in my journey of faith, and I am constantly inspired by their example of true faith in Christ. Their dedication to living out the Gospel in their daily lives is a testament to the power of God’s love and grace, and I am honored to be a part of their community.

Please know that I am filled with gratitude for the NJ Emmaus brothers and the impact that they have had on my life. Their prayers and encouragement have been a source of strength and inspiration for me over the years, and I am blessed to have them as fellow brothers in Christ. I am thankful for their unwavering faith and commitment to spreading the message of Christ’s Salvation, and I am inspired to continue living out my faith in a way that honors and glorifies God.

In their example, I see the power of living Heaven on Earth, redeemed by the love of Christ. I am grateful for the NJ Emmaus brothers and their dedication to serving God and others, and I am encouraged to continue on my own journey of faith with a renewed sense of purpose and passion. For the next few days I’ll be honoring a different Emmaus Brother each day who gave a talk sharing the poem I wrote about them at the bottom of the page but recited in the Godcast. I followed along with them while they gave their soul to share the truth of Salvation. I hope you enjoy them.

Please know that you can reply to the email daily and know it might go to spam first so you might need to ok it. You can cancel by unsubscribing on the bottom. You can also hear my voice in my Godcast I write and record each day by clicking on the link at the top of the page. Audio opens and I scream, “Hello and Welcome to a worldwide Godcast of Universal Utterings. I’m Evangelist and Poet Thomas Cruz-Wiggins. Today we begin our practice in Sirach 37 versus 13-15.” Thank you all for your kindness. We are praying for quick recovery for Brian H. God Bless you all. Thomas. Amen!

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Heart’s Counsel Implore**

Listen closely to your heart’s wise counsel implore,

For it knows the path that will lead you well,

But when unsure, turn to God above for sure,

And ask Him to guide you away from Hell.

In Your Walk to Emmaus, embrace your brothers,

For in unity, we find strength like no other,

Let your steps be firm in God’s chosen way,

And trust in Him to lead you each day.

Through prayer and faith, you’ll find the light,

To guide you through the darkest night,

So heed your heart’s counsel and trust in God’s plan,

And you’ll walk with Him hand in hand. Amen.

NJ Emmaus                          April 19, 2024

Tom Roesch                          Loving God by Knowing Yourself

Fortunate Life never an addict

No mental challenges athlete through-and-through

Great family three older sisters; Carol, Barbie and Janet

Janet and me bonded while Carol and Barbie were close too

Brother-in-Laws are great family love is what would pursue

Attend Mass every week

Engrained in me the Mass I do seek

31 years married to Karen we wrote

35 years of knowing each other we spoke

She’s Lutheran I’m Catholic love forever we note

Sign of God’s grace

Matrimony that lasted

Drew and Rebecca to face

Teachers never flabbergasted

Family tough times we couldn’t erase

I was a man who kept on living

Didn’t discuss with God what to say

I hadn’t learned to be giving

Took me a while to learn how to pray

Wife got hit by a car

Head injury that kept her down

Loss her hearing and taste sub par

Spoke of my commitment to always be around

Emmaus made me different

A person of faith

I learned to stop resisting

Grace I would learn to taste

God’s intersession my old self at bay

Coasting along made me feel blah tired

Not good enough in God’s eyes that day

But Emmaus walk made me on fire from grace required

Hidden life in excess

Porn was a norm

Learned God would address

The fears of my storm

Confession became a release

The sin I hid inside

Tunnel light became my peace

God forgave my sins that divide

Faith journey keeps me rising

The ups more than the downs

Not perfection or I’d be lying

Overcoming the sin of a clown
