02-25-2024 Sirach 18 V3233 Drunkard and glutton do not create
The Book of Sirach Ch 18 v- 32 AND 33
32 Take no pleasure in too much luxury which brings on poverty redoubled. 33 Do not become a glutton and a drunkard with nothing in your purse.
I often write in rhyme to pass the time in the Divine. To take on the pleasure of Truth Seeking Salvation as a life of living couth. So follow along in this tale of too much and find solace in Jesus as your crutch. Your peace your Salvation release. In a world of excess, where money reigns supreme in luxury and opulence, a never-ending dream but beneath the surface, a darkness hides unseen where gluttons and drunks are born, in a cycle so obscene. Too much luxury, brings poverty redoubled a never-ending cycle, where souls are left troubled. In a world of excess, there’s no joy to be found when greed and excess, only bring us down. Tales of lavish feasts, and bottles of fine wine but behind closed doors, the truth begins to shine. Empty hearts and empty pockets, the cost of living blind. In a world of excess, where true happiness is hard to find.
We chase after riches, but lose sight of what’s true. We drown in our vices, until we’re left black and blue. But it’s never too late, to break free from this curse. To find true contentment, in things that matter most in life’s verse. So let’s break free from this cycle, and find joy in simplicity. Let’s cherish what we have, and live with humility.
For true wealth is not in material things, but in love and harmony. Let’s break free from excess, and set our spirits eternally free. Where forever never ceases to be. Salvation is this call. We give and give again trying not to fall. Forgive as forgiven our tale. We never lose sight of what is frail. Charity goes hand-in-hand not a fantasy like Neverland. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
