The Book of Sirach Ch 17 v- 24 AND 25
24 But to the penitent (God) provides a way back and encourages those who are losing hope! 25 Turn back to the Lord and give up your sins, pray before Him and make your offenses few.
Do you believe you are a sinner? Can you call out yourself when you sin? To be a thief seems dreadful worrying others will see you steal as you deny Him? Does pornography have you by the dirty excess you achieve making each day dreadful and unclean? Are you prideful feeling your way is the only way unwilling to recognize God as the Way and the Truth and the Life and forgive those you love? Do you cheat your neighbor or live ugly towards others as a way of entertainment? Is too much too soon in your vocabulary? Do you eat too much or enjoy too much alcohol or other mind-altering drug to the point of not knowing what has happened or remember where you were? Are you lazy unwilling to help another or even yourself? This is where we die my friends; sin! According to the standard list of the Seven Deadly Sins, they are pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony and sloth. What is your fashion? What turns you on? Being good or being bad? Why does it feel so right when doing something wrong? As the song goes, “everything that drowns me makes me feel alive.” Is adventure a sin? To live on the edge? Feel yourself fall? Beginning to beg God for forgiveness this is what He seeks as your call. He will let you return to His grace by falling to your knees and saying I’m sorry no matter how many times we do He opens His arms of forgiveness and lets us come on through return to normalcy wrapped in peace shame removed this is our God. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for a Praise God thank You Jesus for Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
