01-04-2024 Sirach 7 V2930 Your Maker love
The Book of Sirach Ch Seven v- 29 thru 30
29 With all your soul fear God and revere his priests. 30 With all your strength love your Maker and do not neglect his ministers.
We love our priests because they have been given the power to turn bread and wine into the Body Blood Soul and Divinity of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My wife and I both kiss the hands of priests when we first meet them because we know their hands have brought forth Jesus in the flesh numerous times that feeds the flock on a daily basis. A Miracle and Mystery all in one. When I speak of being Christ-fed, I share the beauty of receiving the Eucharist as nourishment for my soul. The first Gospel describes this in Matthew 26 versus 26-29, “While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to His disciples said, “Take and eat; this is My Body.” Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is My Blood of the Covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.” In John 6:51, Jesus proclaims He is the Bread of Life anyone who eats His Body and Drinks His Blood will live forever. “I am the Living Bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this Bread will live forever; and the Bread that I will give is My flesh for the life of the world.” Just a few examples before hearing the poem I wrote today to reflect on Fear of our Maker give respect to His priest and ministers. Amen.
Fear our Maker Honor His Priests
In the depths of my soul, a fear does reside,
A reverence for the Lord, where no secrets hide.
For His priests, I hold utmost regard,
Neglecting not His ministers, I stand on guard.
For the fear of the Lord is not of dread,
But a deep respect, where my spirit is fed.
In His presence, I find solace and peace,
Knowing His priests’ guidance will never cease.
They are the messengers, sent from above,
To share His wisdom, shower His love.
Persona Christi is their hands, the sacred vessels they hold,
Carrying the divine, more precious than gold.
I see in their eyes the flicker of His light,
Guiding lost souls from darkness to bright.
Their words, like music, resonate in my heart,
Uplifting my spirit, igniting a sacred spark.
With each sermon, they kindle the flame,
Igniting our souls, in His Holy Name.
Their voices, a symphony, echoing through,
Drawing us closer to the Lord, to renew.
I bow before them, with utmost respect,
For they bear the burden, our sins to collect.
They carry our prayers, up to the divine,
Interceding for us, in His heavenly shrine.
I will not neglect His ministers, I vow,
For they are His chosen, His servants, avow.
In their footsteps, I humbly tread,
Seeking His grace, where my fears are shed.
In the fear of the Lord, I find solace and peace,
For His priests and ministers, my faith shall not cease.
With reverence, I embrace their sacred role,
And in their presence, my spirit finds its whole. Amen.
True Food True Drink His Body and Blood for Life Eternal
In the realms of faith, a truth divine,
A tale of love, a sacred sign,
Where bread and wine, in humble grace,
Unveil the mysteries of heaven’s embrace.
Jesus, our Savior, in a world of strife,
Gave Himself freely, the gift of life,
His body broken, His blood outpoured,
To nourish our souls, our spirits restored.
True food He is, the Bread of Life,
Sustaining our hearts, dispelling all strife,
In every morsel, His presence we find,
A taste of heaven, to nourish our mind.
As we partake, we taste His grace,
His love, immeasurable, fills every space,
A feast for our souls, a banquet divine,
His body and blood, the truest of wine.
For those who believe, this gift is given,
A promise of life, eternity in Heaven,
In the sacrament, a sacred bond,
With the risen Christ, forever beyond.
Oh, let us partake, with hearts open wide,
In this holy communion, let us abide,
For in His body and blood, we truly find,
A love so profound, so divinely entwined.
So let us gather, as one united,
In this holy feast, our souls ignited,
For Jesus, our Savior, the truest food,
Nourishes our spirits, our faith renewed. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for a little boy named David Alexander. Praise God thank You Jesus. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
