12-23-2023 Sirach 6 V0204 Let not passion yours control
The Book of Sirach Ch Six v- Two thru Four
2 Do not fall into the grip of your passion, lest like fire it consume your strength. 3 It will eat your leaves and destroy your fruits, and you will be left like a dry tree. 4 For fierce passion destroys its owner and makes him the sport of his enemies.
Passions can consume your soul blinding you to the real objective of life where goodwill, kindness and compassion seek Life Eternal in the Redemption offered every soul in humanity the Salvation that forgives all sins. Not only your sin lived but the sins committed against you you must also forgive. My song today reflects this for as you can see from the past few weeks I’ve begun writing poetry in song seeking to share the passion of love over hate Redemption over retaliation wisdom over fear where peace is the persistent desire to offer love, faith and hope of His Eternal grace; Redeemed. Amen.
Passions Fight
In the depths of my soul, a fire burns bright,
Passions ignite, blinding my sight,
Oh, how they consume my every breath,
Leaving me vulnerable to a cruel world’s test.
But little did I know, they’d become my bane,
A twisted game, a sport for my enemies’ gain,
They see my weaknesses, my struggles and strife,
Using them against me, seeking to ruin my life.
Passions that once fueled my dreams,
Now a weapon, tearing at the seams,
Enemies gather, their laughter echoes loud,
As they watch me stumble, fall on this battleground.
Once a force to be reckoned, I stood tall and strong,
But now those passions, they feel so wrong,
They drain my energy, consume my might,
Leaving me defenseless, lost in the fight.
But deep within me, a flicker remains,
A strength that refuses to be tamed,
I rise from the ashes, a phoenix reborn,
Ready to face the battles, no longer forlorn.
Passions that once fueled my dreams,
Now a weapon, tearing at the seams,
Enemies gather, their laughter echoes loud,
As they watch me stumble, fall on this battleground.
No longer a victim, I reclaim my power,
Turning the tables, my darkest hour,
I’ll rise above their taunts, their wicked game,
For passion alone will not define my name.
So, let them try, let them watch me fight,
For I’ll rise above, with all my might,
Passions may consume, but I’ll find a way,
To conquer my enemies, and seize the day. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for a little boy named David Alexander. Praise God thank You Jesus. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Let not passion yours control your drool
Strength yours consume like fire
Fruits destroy leaves eat you fool
Tree dried up and looking dire
Passion fierce
Owner destroyed
Soul pierced
Enemies overjoyed
