First Letter to the Corinthians Chapter Three v- Sixteen thru Seventeen

5 But whoever keeps His Word, the love of God is truly perfected in him. This is the way we may know that we are in union with Him.

By following God’s Word, we align our actions, thoughts, and desires with His will. This allows us to deepen our relationship with Christ and grow in spiritual maturity. Placing God first means prioritizing Him above all else and seeking His guidance in every aspect of our lives. When we make God the center of our lives, we acknowledge His sovereignty and trust in His plans for us. We recognize that He knows what is best for us and submit ourselves to His authority. This involves surrendering our own desires and selfish ambitions, and instead seeking to do His will.

Placing God first also means seeking His wisdom and guidance through prayer, studying the Bible, and participating in fellowship with other believers. It involves seeking to understand and apply His teachings in our daily lives, and striving to live in obedience to His commands. When we prioritize God, we become more like Christ and reflect His character to the world. Our actions, words, and attitudes are shaped by His love, grace, and mercy. We become agents of His love and light, impacting those around us and drawing them closer to Him.

Furthermore, when we place God first, we experience His blessings and experience true fulfillment. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” When we prioritize God and His righteousness, He provides for our needs and blesses us abundantly. In summary, when we follow God’s Word and place Him first in everything we do, we perfect our union with Christ. We deepen our relationship with Him, grow in spiritual maturity, and reflect His character to the world. We experience His blessings and find true fulfillment in Him. We live forgiven and share this Truth of Life Eternal. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born has been answered; she is 26 weeks pregnant with a little boy named David Alexander.
