The Gospel of John Chapter 6 v- 33 thru 38

33 For the Bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 So they said to Him, “Sir, give us this bread always.” 35 Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life; whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst. 36 But I told you that although you have seen [Me], you do not believe. 37 Everything that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to Me, 38 because I came down from heaven not to do My own will but the Will of the One who sent Me.”

When Jesus said, “For the Bread of God is that which comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world,” He was referring to Himself as the Bread of God. In this statement, Jesus is emphasizing that He is the source of spiritual sustenance and Eternal Life. By comparing Himself to bread, Jesus is illustrating that just as bread provides physical nourishment and sustenance for the body, He provides spiritual nourishment and sustenance for the soul. He is the one who came down from Heaven to bring life, Salvation, and eternal fellowship with God to all people.

This statement also highlights the universal aspect of Jesus’ mission. He came not only for a specific group of people but for the entire world. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus offers everyone the opportunity to receive spiritual life and Salvation. Overall, Jesus’ statement emphasizes His Divinity, His role as the Savior, and His ability to provide Eternal Life to all who believe in Him. If we’d only believe. Amen.
