09-06-2023 Colossians One V-0306 God thanks we give for you all
The Letter to the Colossians Chapter One v- Three thru Six
3 We always give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love that you have for all the holy ones 5 because of the hope reserved for you in heaven. Of this you have already heard through the word of truth, the gospel, 6 that has come to you. Just as in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing, so also among you, from the day you heard it and came to know the grace of God in truth.
Today I need to give thanks to those who make Jesus a way of living in my life wanting to share the goodwill of Salvation. First off I thank The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit for my wife and soul mate in Christ Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. She leads the way as a prayer warrior in love with Jesus! Thank you, Toni, for being someone I look up to in prayer daily. You know, I always place my hand on her should when we pray side-by-side in Mass and other locations outlining the Cross on her back when I finish. I love you and I thank God for you! There’s no judgment here. Just love and admiration. I’m thankful for John Thorpe; a barber turned close friend drawn to each other by the symbol of Christ in a fish. It was on the side of his building he painted it there to draw Jesus lovers inside. It brought me inside and to a daily relationship in Christ with John. If you don’t know the history of the fish symbol, I’ll give you a brief explanation. Once persecution was very difficult and an open relationship with Jesus could easily get you killed on the spot. Believers used to walk up to one another and draw the top of the fish and the other would draw the bottom of the fish to signify their belief in the Gospel. I’ll share of picture of it below of course they didn’t draw the cross as an eye silly.
I’m thankful today for Tim Deegan. He has overcome adversity and has surrendered to a life in Christ. I pray for him daily. I’m very thankful for Deacon Sam Knight and Deacon Joe Iskar. Believers who walk the walk and talk the talk. I’m thankful for entire group of people at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Believers in action led by Father Luis! I’m thankful for Gary Kennedy drawing me back to service as a Knight. I am thankful for Kairos these brothers who share the Name of Jesus with those who are imprisoned following the Command of Jesus; I was in prison and you visited me. I’m thankful for every action I’ve ever received in Christ and seek to share this surrender with anyone anytime and anywhere. There are sooooo many to thank but know my prayer is steadfast for each and every one of you whether I mention your name or not. In honor of my brother-in-law Johnny and all of you I repeat the Name of Jesus three times to signify love, faith and hope of His grace and mercy; Life Eternal. Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. NJ Emmaus in Oct. Kairos 56. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
