08-30-2023 One Thes Two V-13 Unceasingly to God live His Word
Book of One Thessalonians Ch Two v- THIRTEEN
13 And for this reason we too give thanks to God unceasingly, that, in receiving the word of God from hearing us, you received not a human word but, as it truly is, the word of God, which is now at work in you who believe.
“Don’t tell God how big your Storm is, tell your storm how big your God is!” Amen. We are sitting in a storm once again thinking of the quote someone wrote that appeared about the time of Hurricane Andrew destroyed South Florida. Here, the electronics are still working for the harsh winds never did begin. The rain and the lightning scare my dog Cielo to quip. She shakes and wonders around whining totally afraid of what she hears looking off into the distance beyond the walls literally shaking unable to stop. “It is God. Don’t worry,” I say as she licks my face and shakes uncontrollably. “Poor thing,” I say as I set her down and she crawls under my legs and desk laying on top of my feet. The comfort of God gives us true rest over fear true courage we hold dear. Paul teaches us today through the Thessalonians that the Word of God must be their daily embrace of giving “thanks to God unceasingly” receiving the Word of God each day as a continual model of Salvation to know Life Eternal. Same then as it is today. We search for Redemption knowing the things we have done aren’t pretty or fun to talk about we just want to be forgiven and Jesus Christ died on a Cross for these sins to be wiped clean. That is what the Word of God will tell you exactly what God wants you to hear. Believe and His Work will be constant in you. Read His Word daily as the practice you embrace to seek love over hate faith over fear hope over hesitation seeking the Truth that makes everything clear. Practice. Pray. Proclaim; The Word of God is how you remain sane. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. NJ Emmaus in Oct. Kairos 56. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
