08-15-2023 Matthew Ch 27 v-6266 Imposter then worse than His first revivals
Gospel of Matthew Ch 27 v- 62 thru 66
62 The next day, the one following the day of preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate 63 and said, “Sir, we remember that this impostor while still alive said, ‘After three days I will be raised up.’ 64 Give orders, then, that the grave be secured until the third day, lest his disciples come and steal him and say to the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead.’ This last imposture would be worse than the first.” 65 Pilate said to them, “The guard is yours; go secure it as best you can.” 66 So they went and secured the tomb by fixing a seal to the stone and setting the guard.
“Sir, we remember that this impostor while still alive said, ‘After three days I will be raised up.’ What fright they must have felt for not understanding the Messiah would die for the sins of all then raising by His Father’s call. What they didn’t understand is Jesus was the Spirit so Holy as much as He is One with the Father so tall. A Triune God that was fully human and fully Divine. They weren’t ready to make sense of this for they wanted an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth but instead the Chosen One sought absolute peace over pestilence seeking goodwill to serve rather than be served by any and all. The Jews could not understand just like many of us today we understand not what Jesus really wants in a day-to-day surrender; soul searching sharing Salvation! Amen. Our Lord and Savior wants us to seek the lost, the lonely and the languished serving rather than being served instilling love, faith and hope of His mercy and grace. His Word entails being unafraid of the unknown the final frontier explained and offered as the Only Way to live forever. God said in Him we would see Life Eternal but to give up the world one becomes afraid of the unknown already explained as shown in Christ. To live in Him is to die to the world of excess and shame knowing only His fame. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. NJ Emmaus in Oct. Kairos 56. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Remember we sir He said He would raise wallowing
We know as an imposter alive still day three as relief
Him steal then by His disciples
People say day three dead raised allure
Imposter then worse than His first revivals
Guards given by Pilate tomb stone seal secure for sure
