Gospel of Matthew Ch 26 v- 31 thru 35

31 Then Jesus said to them, “This night all of you will have your faith in me shaken, for it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be dispersed’; 32 but after I have been raised up, I shall go before you to Galilee.” 33 Peter said to him in reply, “Though all may have their faith in you shaken, mine will never be.” 34 Jesus said to him, “Amen, I say to you, this very night before the cock crows, you will deny me three times.” 35 Peter said to him, “Even though I should have to die with you, I will not deny you.” And all the disciples spoke likewise.

I can just hear Jesus saying to Peter after He was raised from the dead; “Peter I told you so.” How many times have you heard that from family, friends or foes alike? Someone always wants to question your surrender but once you get over denying the Lord and His Salvation, you’ll talk about it to friends and strangers without spite. You’ll seek to wear Jesus on your sleeve literally trying to constantly prove you will never deny the Lord again. Talk about forgiveness? Jesus not only foretold Peter’s denial Jesus described to the letter what would happen and how Peter would react. Jesus knows the same about you. He knows you have denied Him when the going got tough while you knowingly forsake Him in every opportunity you could be it speech or spectacle you gave God your disrespect unable to say He was your Messiah willing to grab Satan’s tail for fortune or fame being labeled as shame showing no conscious in your daily life game. God was denied from start to finish not even a prayer of thanksgiving until tragedy gripped your family’s fortune be it from accident or Mother Nature’s natural weatherly destruction you turned to Him and sought refuge from pain or pestilence. Think of Jesus and Peter; Did Jesus deny Peter although Peter denied Jesus? No. Jesus knows denial of Him is an ongoing problem of faith yet He is willing to forgive and forget instantaneously. You too can be forgiven for anything although others may not forgive they will suffer the effects of their unforgiveness and wallow in their shame of forgiving not. History will not look kindly on those who refuse to forgive for the Lord will deny them to eternal damnation that fiery place of heat called Hell unless they repent and say I’m sorry to quell. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

07-17-2023 Matthew Gospel Ch 26 v-3135

**Times three Me deny**

Jesus addressed disciple’s contempt

Shaken faith have you all tonight

Written is it no one will be exempt

Dispersed flock from shepherd’s strike

Once I am raised from death comply

In Galilee I’ll be there before your fright

Replying Peter shaken faith many never I You deny

Jesus then foretold crowing cock of denial this night

Times three Me deny Peter

Cock will then crow

You die with nothing sweeter

Peter and the disciples said you know
