Gospel of Matthew Ch 26 v- 20 thru 25

20 When it was evening, he reclined at table with the Twelve. 21 And while they were eating, he said, “Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”  22 Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to him one after another, “Surely it is not I, Lord?” 23 He said in reply, “He who has dipped his hand into the dish with me is the one who will betray me. 24 The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born.” 25 Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, “Surely it is not I, Rabbi?” He answered, “You have said so.”

Surely you will die if you deny Jesus is real. Period. Surely Judas would die with self-inflicting death measures that not a soul could predict except the One and Only Son of God! Jesus said to Judas aloud, “woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed.” Jesus knows everything. He knew Judas would kill himself over his act of injustice of turning over the Savior yet Jesus also knew that Judas’ betrayal was the Will of God in action a part of the plan God had instore. Soon Judas will return the silver and exclaim his sinfulness to confess his need to be forgiven. Did Jesus forgive Judas? Many a scholar has given his opinion on this subject but I know in my heart Jesus forgave Judas when he ran back to the Chief Priests and threw the silver at their feet. But did Jesus forgive Judas again when he wrapped a rope around his neck and hung himself from a tree? This is the real question. Suicide is not condoned by the Church for we owe our life to God and God alone. The Catechism #2282 states, “Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide.” This qualification does not make suicide a right action in any circumstance; however, it does make us realize that the person may not be totally culpable for the action because of various circumstances or personal conditions. Surely the case of Judas would fall under these circumstances. The Will of God dictated that Judas would kill himself over this shame yet obligated for the Sake of Salvation. Redemption is always case clear; wrongs removed now restored. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Betrayer you will come to see**

Twelve table reclining evening meal needed

Me betray will you say I amen conceded

This distressed deeply them they all repeated

I it is not surely someone’s being mistreated

Replying said He

Who can it be

Dish dipping hand with Me

Betrayer you will come to see

Goes indeed is Man’s Son

Him written is it not fun

Betraying Man’s Son shun

Born never his wish to stun

Betrayer His Judas said Rabbi

Replied aloud his obvious lie

Not I surely I will deny

So you have said Jesus answered to comply
