Gospel of Matthew Ch 24 v- 9 thru 14
9 Then they will hand you over to persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of my name. 10 And then many will be led into sin; they will betray and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and deceive many; 12 and because of the increase of evildoing, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.
The spectrum of love and hate are always at levels of joy and disgust in our lives for the evil one tests our validity every single moment of every day pulling us away from the fruit of Salvation by offering too much too soon showing excess as the norm for those who seek selfish means of living and forget to live in a joy of goodwill. We begin to see betrayal as some sort of pleasure to watch and predict their downfall or success of living in excess or living Redeemed. Once you feel the enlightenment of Salvation you begin to act in ways of virtue living chase enjoying your love of life as One with your spouse, the Church and Christ as your guide. You will have an even temperance knowing how to call on Christ for restraint where self-control is accomplished in His Name. You will look for ways to be charitable not just on a Sunday afternoon you will feel called to give more by actions and deeds than by financial help but willing to help financially knowing rainy days savings are for the scared and the weak of heart. Jesus will make you diligent wanting to call on His Name when you rise and when you go to sleep and you will notice that even your dreams are Christ centered. Jesus will give you patience to undergo any test physical, mental or social knowing how to act prudent in all decisions of the heart, mind and soul. You will want to act always in kindness never relinquishing the beauty of Salvation for any reason whatsoever. Jesus will keep you humble for Him to be called your Lord and Savior makes you call on His Name first wanting goodwill’s peace. Amen.
The SEVEN CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY are Feeding the Hungry, Giving Drink to the Thirsty, Clothing the Naked, Sheltering the Homeless, Visiting the Imprisoned, Comforting the Sick and Burying the Dead. The SEVEN SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY are Teaching the Ignorant, Praying for the Living and the Dead, Correcting Sinners, Counseling Those in Doubt, Consoling the Sorrowful, Bearing Wrongs Patiently and Forgiving Wrongs Willingly.
The Seven Virtues vs The Seven Sins
The Seven Virtues chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility.
Biblical Reference 2 Peter 1 4-8
4 Through these, he has bestowed on us the precious and very great promises, so that through them you may come to share in the divine nature, after escaping from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, virtue with knowledge,6 knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with devotion, 7 devotion with mutual affection, mutual affection with love. 8 If these are yours and increase in abundance, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Seven Sins pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth.
Biblical Reference Proverbs 6:16-19
16 There are six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to him; 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that plots wicked schemes, feet that are quick to run to evil, 19 The false witness who utters lies, and the one who sows discord among kindred.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni on her day of birth and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
