06-07-2023 Matthew Ch 23 v-0912 Exalted be humbled your status
Gospel of Matthew Ch 23 v- 9 thru 12
9 Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. 10 Do not be called ‘Master’; you have but one master, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you must be your servant. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Ahhhh, to be humble. What does it mean in your eyes? Humility comes from serving the least the lonely the languished just as much as it serves the greatest to accomplish goodwill. We set about living life without payment or preludes to the worlds existence and seek what is heavenly on earth by serving instead of being served. Our ministry here at God First seeks to share each and every Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy on a daily basis knowing Christ is in the midst of those you serve. Remember, soon we will hear Jesus say these words in Matthew 26:34-36; “Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’” What do you lack to live in absolute humility? When is the last time you picked up trash as you walked into the mall or the gas station? Can you make that call of humility and forgive? Let us seek to comfort the sick, console the sorrowful while bearing wrongs patiently and willingly correcting sinners with dialogue not anger and brute force. Those in doubt be a model for seek not your own ways of wisdom but the prudence, knowledge and understanding of Christ Jesus! Humility will linger in your smile of Salvation. Amen.
The SEVEN CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY are Feeding the Hungry, Giving Drink to the Thirsty, Clothing the Naked, Sheltering the Homeless, Visiting the Imprisoned, Comforting the Sick and Burying the Dead. The SEVEN SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY are Teaching the Ignorant, Praying for the Living and the Dead, Correcting Sinners, Counseling Those in Doubt, Consoling the Sorrowful, Bearing Wrongs Patiently and Forgiving Wrongs Willingly.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others dealing with the war in Ukraine. In the Holy Spirit we pray our brothers in Kairos especially a prayer for our men in blue. We pray for Holy Mother Church. We pray for the intersession of our Holy Mother for the sister of Jackie her name is Loreen. Daily prayers for our neighbor Thelma. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Humbled be himself exalted
Exalted be humbled your status
Humility the true way to vaulted
