Gospel of Matthew Ch 24 v- 27

24 Jesus said to them in reply, “I shall ask you one question, and if you answer it for me, then I shall tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 Where was John’s baptism from? Was it of heavenly or of human origin?” They discussed this among themselves and said, “If we say ‘Of heavenly origin,’ he will say to us, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’ 26 But if we say, ‘Of human origin,’ we fear the crowd, for they all regard John as a prophet.” 27 So they said to Jesus in reply, “We do not know.” He himself said to them, “Neither shall I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

By what Authority do you live each day? The Spirit has led me to discuss as well as repeat the Seven Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy in my daily love of sharing He who saved the world. My poetry reflects His amazing goodwill that drives us to live in a state of peace over turmoil. Today, I’d like to speak about why I inform others of the charity we are involved in and the new experiences of others who need our help as the subject I might discuss on a daily basis. God reminds us to live in a state of righteousness seeking out the lonely the lost and the languished allowing our love, faith and hope of Salvation to instill in us the beauty of living with benevolence on our minds and worn as our hearts on our sleeves. Instill in others the seven Heavenly Virtues that create chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility. The beauty of knowing miracles firsthand and living Redeemed comes from the beauty of sharing His generosity, His kindness and His benevolence of living forever. Prudence is being surrendered to Life Eternal.

These themes are the roadmap that leads to living His Word when we see others in need. Saint Mother Theresa heard the beggar asking her for something to drink. “I am thirsty,” she heard causing her to act and be a Sister of Charity. Saint Theresa of Avila also called Saint Theresa of Jesus once said, “I have no hands but His. Christ has no body but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes with which He looks with compassion on this world. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.” We discuss our works of charity as an informative way and peace to get involved. By explaining how we encounter those who are in need and we may help  and encourage others who hear to and get involved by seeing the need to be the hands and feet and body of Jesus. Writer Paul Gilbert once wrote the following poem that reminds me of what we do in writing our Gospel each and every day; “You’re writing a Gospel, a chapter each day. By the deeds you do, by the words that you say. People read what you write, whether faithless or true. Say, what is the Gospel according to you.” As I add, Find a peaceful death to ensue.  Amen.

The SEVEN CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY are Feeding the Hungry, Giving Drink to the Thirsty, Clothing the Naked, Sheltering the Homeless, Visiting the Imprisoned, Comforting the Sick and Burying the Dead. The SEVEN SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY are Teaching the Ignorant, Praying for the Living and the Dead, Correcting Sinners, Counseling Those in Doubt, Consoling the Sorrowful, Bearing Wrongs Patiently and Forgiving Wrongs Willingly. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others dealing with the war in Ukraine. In the Holy Spirit we pray our brothers in Kairos especially a prayer for our men in blue. We pray for Holy Mother Church. We pray for the intersession of our Holy Mother for the sister of Jackie her name is Loreen. Daily prayers for our neighbor Thelma. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Jesus had the authority question ready**

Jesus had the authority question ready

It answer you then you’ll know

Baptism of John human or heavenly

Jesus awaited their need to grow

Origin heavenly say Jesus will correct

Him believe not why he wasn’t phony

Origin human we say to collect

Crowd feared John regarded as prophet testimony

Know not do we

Then Jesus began His priority

You tell not by Me

Things these do by what Authority
