04-17-2023 Matthew Ch 18 v-0609 Sea depths embrace your last mistake

Gospel of Matthew Ch 18 v- Six thru Nine

6 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of things that cause sin! Such things must come, but woe to the one through whom they come! 8 If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into fiery Gehenna.

When you witness adults sinning against children, it really makes you angry and hurt for they may never heal from the abuse that many an adult sees through each and every day. I’ve spoken about feeling overwhelmed with fright when verbal and physical abuse takes place with children or elderly adults wanting to help in some way that won’t seem intrusive or wrong. When your mind becomes blind to the abuse given to a child or someone elderly, then we find the person Jesus speaks of today who should have a great millstone wrapped around their neck and thrown into the deep blue sea. Yes, Jesus offers them forgiveness too yet it may be too late if the abuse of child is what they pursue. The sins of many come to light when we speak of our eyes our hands and our feet that walk us to sin participate in sinning ourselves while gawking with eyes that Jesus reminds us to pluck out or cut off the ugliness of sin and find His righteousness won to live Redeemed in all situations. Keep a child safe teach them about Jesus. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for Boston aka Keith. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others dealing with the war in Ukraine. In the Holy Spirit we pray our brothers in Kairos especially a prayer for our men in blue. We pray for Holy Mother Church. We pray for our Holy Mother for the sister of Jackie. Daily prayers for our neighbor Thelma. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. Praying for Cheryl and Joe. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Sea depths embrace your last mistake**

Ones little sins cause whoever

Drowned better by millstone great

Hung on the neck endeavor

Sea depths embrace your last mistake

Sin caused world woes to come

Coming woes to the one for his considered fun

Sins cut off foot or hands humanity will shun

Crippled or maimed better if you come

Feet or hands maimed better life than throwing in fire eternal

Sin of the eyes away throw torn out maternal

Life enter with eye one than being nocturnal

Gehenna fiery thrown not better than life paternal
