Gospel of Matthew Ch 28 v- One thru Ten

1 After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, approached, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it. 3 His appearance was like lightning and his clothing was white as snow. 4 The guards were shaken with fear of him and became like dead men. 5 Then the angel said to the women in reply, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead, and he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.” 8 Then they went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce this to his disciples. 9 And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

I once learned a statement that I’ve never forgotten and often repeat, “Jesus Christ is Risen! He is Risen indeed!” I made it a part of a poem I wrote called “You Can’t Imagine.” The poem reflects everything I feel about being a lover of Jesus Christ and wanting to share Him with anyone anytime anywhere. Amen. This poem came to me as I reflected on the True Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist during Adoration in a small chapel when I first became a Catholic School Teacher of the Third grade. The Chapel sat next to St Louis Catholic Church and is still called Morning Star Renewal Center. The location used to be a convent for sisters who taught school in and around Dade County Florida. What I didn’t know then was I would be back in this small chapel some four months later attending the weekend retreat called, “Walk to Emmaus.”

This weekend retreat for men was an experience in Christ’s surrender like no other. We focused on the Truth of Jesus being raised from the dead. Something I never really thought too much about but realized it is the reason why we believe in His Words of comfort, calm and creativity of living Eternal Life. We must find the peace of Christ in our daily comfort knowing He is the reason why we feel such goodwill allowing anxiety’s and fear to be overcome in His miraculous raising from the dead. Here, we should feel the calm to Christ allowing us to stay focused on living His grace for the world. It has become our duty to share this creativity of knowing Redemption by giving His life back to those who need it most, the lost, the lonely and the languished.

You see the lost everywhere; every corner every liquor store every high one seeks without His Name. They are stealing from their own souls without consciously thinking about what they are hurting or who not just others but themselves. They often become lonely seeking to make a name for themselves from some outlandish act of terror for Satan has infiltrated the lonely in every aspect of their lives. We need to seek out these people and turn them to the Risen Christ! Share the beauty of living forgiven as Jesus taught and see the lonely be anointed to live Salvation and the languished will be turned into the righteous God seeks to live His Will. Today we are in charge of this task because we believe Jesus is the Christ and that He has Risen indeed. Happy Easter.

Remember in Luke 24:6-7 how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ Well today Jesus proves to all humanity that He is the Messiah the One who the world had waited for to believe for His grace fuels your love, faith and hope of His mercy allowing the saved to live forever. Life Eternal was promised. And He will do it says the Lord. If only others would believe. If only the world. Amen.

Quickly leaving the girls frightened to concede

Overjoyed yet fearful tomb they left they agreed

On the way Jesus met them as He trounced

Them greeted feet His embraced they bounced

Afraid be not know
