Gospel of Matthew Ch 11 v- 15 thru 19

15 Whoever has ears ought to hear. 16 “To what shall I compare this generation?^* It is like children who sit in marketplaces and call to one another, 17 ‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance, we sang a dirge but you did not mourn.’ 18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they said, ‘He is possessed by a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking and they said, ‘Look, he is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is vindicated by her works.”

 

I was on a mid night watch watching radar scopes tracking boats and planes as I was floating on a Navy Frigate in the middle of the Indian Ocean when a radioman handed me the news, “Begin, Allen Thomas Wiggins born today. Love you. Mom. Stop.” I had no cigars to pass out it was three o’clock in the morning and I said a little prayer to myself, “Lord please bless him. Amen.” It was my hope that day I would see him through the trauma I had run from since its happening before his sister was born. I seemed to be constantly on the lookout for someone to grab me again and make me do things I didn’t want to do. I was barely an adult myself frightened of others strength to force action upon you. Something I prayed would never happen to him. You see, I had dreamed of being vindicated by the works of truth. “Wisdom is vindicated by her works.” Amen. It took me a number of years to understand this scripture when I first read it because I really didn’t understand what works of Christ really were. Then one-day God revealed to me His Plan for my life what many of us call as living His Will. I could see that everything I do are the works of Christ. When I say everything, I mean everything especially the way you care for those you love; forgiving them as well as yourself for any past wrong doings and focus on living a life of Salvation living as One in Jesus. Amen.

 

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others dealing with the war in Ukraine. In the Holy Spirit we pray our brothers in Kairos especially a prayer for our men in blue. We pray for Holy Mother Church. We pray for our Holy Mother in the name of Louie. Daily prayers for our neighbor Thelma. Prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Hear with ear whoever

Jesus said with a cry

Generation this compare clever

Another call in a marketplace ply

 

Dance not after playing flute

Mourn not dirge singing

Drank not eating nothing brute

Came John saying he was demon possessed clingy

 

Man’s Son drinking and eating came

Drunkard and a glutton nothing shunned

Sinners and collectors of tax friend same

Works vindicated by her wisdom stunned
