11-28-24 Luke 21 v1219 Powers of Heaven will be Shaken
The Gospel of Luke Chapter 21 V- 25 and 28
25 “There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves. 26 People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.”
In Luke 21:25-28, we are confronted with a powerful prophecy that speaks to the tumultuous events of the end times. The verses describe signs in the heavens and on the earth—distress among nations, the roaring of the sea, and the shaking of the powers of heaven. Amidst these unsettling images, Jesus calls His followers to stand firm and lift their heads, for their redemption is drawing near.
As we gather around the Thanksgiving table, we reflect on the blessings in our lives, but we are reminded that the world is not without its challenges. The metaphor of the turkey shaking on the table serves as a poignant reminder that life is fragile and unpredictable. In moments of uncertainty, we are encouraged to remain steadfast in our faith, ready to meet our Creator. The imagery of the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory evokes a sense of awe and anticipation, prompting us to consider our relationship with God.
Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude, and it is fitting to express thanks for the gift of Salvation. In surrendering to His will, we find peace and assurance that we are prepared for whatever may come. The call to be ready to meet our Maker resonates deeply; it urges us to evaluate our lives and our faith. Are we living in a way that honors Him?
As we celebrate this day of gratitude, let us give thanks not only for our blessings but also for the hope we have in Christ. May we stand erect, filled with joy and confidence, knowing that our redemption is near. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
11-28-2024 Luke 21 v2528
**Powers of Heaven will be Shaken**
In the twilight’s gentle embrace,
Signs unfold in the heavens’ space,
Nations tremble, hearts in fright,
Yet hope emerges, a guiding light.
The sea roars with a thunderous sound,
As the world shakes, trembling ground,
But lift your heads, do not despair,
For redemption’s promise lingers in the air.
The Son of Man, in glory bright,
Will come on clouds, a majestic sight,
With power vast and love profound,
In His presence, true peace is found.
When the turkey shakes upon the board,
Remember His love, and be restored,
For every trial, each storm we face,
Is but a whisper of His grace.
So let us gather, hearts entwined,
With thankfulness for the love we find,
In surrender to His saving hand,
Ready to meet Him, forever to stand.
In every moment, both joy and strife,
He is our anchor, the source of life,
As we await that glorious day,
Let gratitude guide us, come what may. Amen.
